Chapter 22- The fight

Abi's POV-

When we came home, I saw Lauren standing in the living room. Dad was also there sitting on the sofa with a worried look on his face.

"Well girls, Lauren has called a meeting so put your bags away and come quickly"

Me and Melissa both nodded and rushed into our rooms. We came out 10 seconds later.

"So Lauren, what's up with the random look on your face?"

Lauren glared at me and I took that as a sign to shut up.

"Well I have called this meeting to discuss Clement McDonald"

"What about him??"

"If you would let me finish Abi, then you would know"

Lauren spoke really harshly. What had happened to her?

"As I was saying, Clement McDonald is a fake! He made up lies about the safe place just to be rich but it had backfired"

"Lauren, you had seen him in the hospital, he was not lying!"

"He was! Have you even done proper research on him Abi? Have you?"

"I have actually! Why are you acting so weird?"

"Well I'm not! Excuse me if I do not want to die on an unsafe island"

"Lauren you are being such a bitch! What's your problem?"

"My problem is we are going to die on that island if you do not listen to me!"

"Shut up! Clement is right and you're not"

"Are you sure about that? He is in a MENTAL HOSPITAL Abi! Are you sure he is sane or is he one of those crazy people?"

I had just noticed the conversation was between me and Lauren and no one else. Dad and Melissa were staring at us.

"Lauren, I have nothing to say to you"

I stormed off and slammed my door. I hate her! How could she believe me and then all of a sudden say Clement is wrong? She is messed up! We are going to that island and I don't care if she comes or not!

"Abi?"

It was Melissa.

"Yes?"

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I just don't want to talk about it"

"Ok then... so that party?"

When Melissa said that, it immediately brought a smile to my face.

"Yeah, so we can make it a goodbye party!"

"Oh good idea! Where can we hold it?"

"Ummm well Jason's house?"

"Yeah...but we need his permission"

"Now that's the easy bit, you can ask him"

"Me?"

"Sure, he will never say no to you!"

"Ok then, well its 11:00 pm so night"

"Goodnight"

Melissa walked out my room and closed the door. I sighed heavily. Lauren, why did you doubt Clement? I closed my eyes and instantly fell asleep.

*Next morning*

I woke up and walked out my room into the kitchen. Dad, Melissa or Lauren weren't there. I looked at the time, 9pm. They usually are awake by now.

"Dad?"

I walked around the house, checking each room carefully. I stepped outside and saw them in the garden.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"Oh nothing, just getting a tan"

"A tan? Crazy people"

I made breakfast and got changed.

"I'm going to Jason's"

"Ok then"

Dad went to meet some friends and Lauren and Melissa went out.

Jason was outside, lying in the sun too.

"Hey"

"Hi"

"So Jason, we decided to have a party, can we have it at your house?"

"Yeah sure"

"Oh yeah, Melissa was meant to ask you that...my bad"

"It's cool"

"Oh and about Melissa...when are you going to ask her out?"

"Excuse me?"

"It's Obvious you like her and she like you so when you going to ask her out?

"Umm"

"Well here's the plan- at the party a romantic song plays, you pull her close for a dance and then you ask her out- simples"

"Wow! Thanks! I will use that"

"Just doing my duty as cupid"

We just laughed and planned the whole party. A sudden thought popped up in my head.

"Jason, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure"

"Will you like to come with us to the island?"

"Oh um yeah definitely"

"YAY!"

Me and Jason had the date set out, in 1 weeks time, a massive party will be held and Melissa will be his girlfriend! Perfect!

"Well I'm going now so bye"

I ran home and found Melissa. I explained to her everything.

"And I never told this to Jason but after he asks you out, kiss him"

"Kiss him?"

"Yeah, you 2 are perfect for each other"

"I'm definitely going to kiss him! Oh those lips! And that body! So muscular! Can't wait to touch him"

"Ok...that sounded totally perverted Melissa"

"I disagree"

We debated about that until dad came back. Lauren came back after. I can't wait until this party!
