The entire kingdom was celebrating. The new princess was born and she was healthy and alive. Parents were already suggesting their newborn sons as suitable husbands. But the king and queen were clear in their answer.

"We want her to find her mate as I did myself. There's nothing more extraordinary as a mate bond and we wish it upon everybody." The King told the interviewer.

The royal news aired each Friday night on a channel that only existed for wolf packs. The views were uncountable since everybody adored the royal family.

"That is a wonderful idea, your majesty. And how is our crown princess?" Hiram, the interviewer and most beloved celebrity from the werewolf world, asked.

"Amazing." The King beamed with a proud smile.

"And where is she now? Can I see her?" Hiram was excited for the princess as was the entire folk.

"She's asleep, she does that a lot." The King answered thoughtfully.

"And from who did she get that?" The Queen asked sarcastically.

The room buckled up, the King rolled his eyes and grabbed her hand. She smiled innocently when he planted a sweet kiss on her palm.

The happiness didn't last long. Horror came so quickly they didn't even had time to shut down the cameras, everything was life on tv for the entire kingdom to fear.

"Code red! Code red!" A guard came running in screaming his lungs out.

"What's going on?" The King demanded.

"They took her! The princess! They stole her!" He stressed out.

Screams filled the room, the queen falling to her knees with maids rushing to her side and the King storming out of the room.

The sight broke his heart. The room was colored in a baby blue with golden furniture. The beautiful room he had decorated for her was completely ruined and vandalized. The big window was open and the cool night air blew inside, he hurried over trying to see an intruder.

"Your majesty, I-" the King cut off the guard.

"Tell my wife I'm off searching, send every guard out now. Tell every pack to look out. We will not rest until she's safe home." He commanded.

The trembling guard nodded and hurried away. The King took deep breathes as his skin turned hairier and he bended forward. The change always hurt, but the more you did it the more used you got to it. But he pushed the pain aside and the only thing he could think about was his daughter.

Jumping out of the window he flew into the night, the start of a search that was going to last for more than a decade.
