"Hey, girls!" Jayden slipped between me and Rosalie at breakfast.

He wasn't supposed to sit at this table, but he still did. Yesterday he told me he didn't fear Ryder. I think he just says that because his uncle is alpha of a pack that is just as powerful as Ryder's.

"Jayden." Me and Rosalie chuckled at the same time.

"Today is the first football game off the season and I need my girls to come support me." He started.

"Of course, party after?" Rosalie asked.

"Hell yeah! Me and the guys have been working on some new music." Jayden was in a band with some other guys, I never heard them play before.

"Oh now I can finally hear you guys play." I smiled.

"And I've got some news to make even more happier: you can wear my jersey as the newest addition to the pack!" He cheered.

Rosalie gave me a look, before we bursted out in laughter. The others started to look at us and catch up the conversation.

"Omg, I'm going to wear the jersey of the Jayden Ajax. I think I might faint right now!" I fake cheered in a weird voice.

Rosalie laughed louder and I joined. Jayden ruffled my hair and chuckled along. I hit him and fixed my hair. I don't even know why, it's not like I care.

"What's the party actually about?" I wondered digging into my pancakes.

"Oh, when we win I host a party here in the pack house." Jayden said still caressing the place where I had hit him.

Such a pussy.

My eyes drifted to Ryder, who was busy talking to some guys. He looked all formal and scary, so was he even okay with a party in his place. Jayden caught my attention by pulling my hand.

"Don't worry about him. He lets us have our fun, but has his when the clocks ticks one in the morning." He pouted.

"One in the morning, does he think we're freshmen?" I wondered out loud.

"Tell me about it, honey." Rosalie muttered.

"Yeah, but it's better than nothing. So let's be grateful."

We shared a look before erupting in laughter again. This time pissing the Àlpha off. Ryder glared at us and pushed his papers down. He looked worked up and had dark circles. What was wrong?

"Can you kids be quiet for one damn minute?!" He demanded angry.

I bite my lip and the others gaped at him. My eyes search his face, but the anger doesn't let me inspect it properly. The guys around him ask for his attention and then I read it: the tiredness. He was leading one pack practically on his own, since Kyla was taking advantage of her authority.

I scratched my arm nervously. But what could I do, he took my duties away. I still felt guilty seeing him so worn out. Stupid mate bond... He hadn't even to touched his food, only drank three cups of coffee. Marcus tried to help, but Ryder doesn't look like the type that would love that. He's a more reserved and closed person, all hot guys are.

"Am, time for school." Rosalie called, she stood waiting at the door.

For how long have I been gazing at him? I blushed and hurried to her. When I looked back, he quickly met my gaze. A urge in me wanted to go over and comfort him, but I quickly pushed that down. We weren't so close and my mind was screaming to hate him. Although I couldn't.
