Ryder pov

"Hey, can we talk?", I hurried over to Ambrosia just after my talk with Pauline.

If she was going to find out, at least from me.

"Sure", the girls winked at her, while I took her to a bench in the garden.

"What's up?", she asked sitting down turning to me.

Goddess, this was going to be so hard.

"I want you to know this, because I feel guilty about it and you deserve to know", she frowned.

"When you were recovering and asleep, Pauline and I-",

"Slept together, I already know",

"Who told you?!" I demanded shocked.

"Gossip"l she shrugged.

I sighed. She already knew and how did the gossip know. This was something between Pauline and me.

"I'm sorry, Ambrosia",

She sighed and turned to me, her eyes taking me in.

"I wanted to kill you the first time I heard...", she chuckled and grabbed my hand.

"I was angry and hurt, but the more I thought about it I realized I was scared", she played with my fingers, shy.

"Scared?",

She took a deep breath and her almost golden eyes turned to me, taking my breath away.

"Look, you're older than me and so is Pauline, so I guess you're more experienced. I just turned eighteen and I never-I never...",

"You're a virgin?", I guessed.

She turned red and nodded. She shouldn't be ashamed, I was glad she was.

I pushed my wolf to the background and caressed her hand, for her to carry on.

"That's an advantage Pauline has, she can give you something I'm not ready for",

"I'm not looking for a girl who wants to have sex with me, Ambrosia",

"To complete the mating you have to have you know what...",

It was adorable how shy she turned.

"If I choose you, it can wait, until you're ready", I assured her.

"It's just, I'm eighteen. Having sex leads to pregnancies and children. It's not that I don't want them, I would love to have children. I'm just scared", she sighed moving away from me.

I pulled her to me, her legs landing on my lap. I cupped her face, she was so beautiful.

"If you're embarrassed to have a child at the age of eighteen, you're wrong. It's absolutely normal for Luna and other female wolves to have children at an young age, because you normally find your mate at an young age", I explained her.

"I don't know...", she muttered.

"As I said before, if i choose you, I'm not rushing you into anything", I assured her.

"Okay", I pulled her on my lap and caressed her softly.

We stayed in silent and enjoyed the weather, today was a good day for us. It felt good to have her close after the hectic last days. My eyes fell on my mark and my wolf felt proud.

"Wouldn't it be so much cooler if babies were just brought by the pelicans?", she wondered.

I bursted out in laughter and pulled her closer.

"It would", she turned her head to mine and moved closer, a grin on her face.

"Would you believe me I've never been kissed before?", she asked staring at my lips.

"No",

Who didn't want Ambrosia?

"Well I haven't, but I want to and I want to silence my crave", she cupped my face.

"What are you waiting for?",

She smirked and placed a kiss on my lips, I guided her through. Her thick lips were soft and playable. Electricity filled the air around us and she shivered in my arms. I got goosebumps, a feeling so foreign I never felt before.

It got too heated and she slowly stopped me, breathless. Her eyes were wide and I saw the blue slowly fading and golden taking over. Her lips were red and swollen from the impact of the kiss.

"I-", she was cut off by Marcus.

"The king, he's on the line",

"I need to go", I told Ambrosia.

I couldn't just tell the king that I didn't want to speak to him.

"Okay"l she nodded, still dazed.

I hurried off with Marcus who was smiling largely.

"You kissed her", he pointed out.

"So?",

"Look down, idiot", he laughed.
