"A country is lead by two parties, the crown and the government. These two must go together in a perfect harmony, otherwise they will not work to the cost of the entire kingdom. As the crown you have the power to correct them, you choose the government. Their decision are linked to you. They make a mistake, you'll have to take the burden",

Mr. Lawson was an old man, who was clearly near his pension. A very nice man with some humor at times. We were sitting in one of the countless rooms of the grand palace.

After we figured out who I was, my education had to start immediately. So when I would turn nineteen, I could take over the crown. My birthday was in two months and we still had a lot to do. It scared me, especially since Ryder wasn't here.

For two reasons, he was Àlpha and he would be a distraction. Stupid reasons, but so right. I would hang around him the whole time. They needed to teach me first how to schedule my time. Young wolves who were about to mate tempted to completely abandon everything for their mate. I couldn't take that risk.

"Can I ask a question, sir?", I asked politely.

"Of course, your highness?"

I still had to get used to that.

"What if a minister makes a horrendous mistake? Do I have the power of the right to point it out to him? Even firing him?", I asked.

"A decade ago there was a Prime Minister, lord Jameson, a dear friend of your father. Apparently he assaulted his daughter, who, thankfully, stepped out and started charges against him with a lot of valid proof. It was a huge crisis, a lot of people forgetting how good of a ruler you're father truly is. He was forced to take action. Lord Jameson went rogue and died",

"He died?"

"Couldn't handle the shame of being a rogue",

"What about the girl? Did she get professional help? I can only imagine that she must be traumatized for life",

"She hasn't healed properly yet, she turned her back to the moon goddess and turned human",

"Human?",

"She linked all the bad things that happened to her with being a wolf. She figured if she would give up her wolf, she could forget",

It made me sad. That poor girl. When I would make my government, I'm going to dig into their pasts and really pick carefully.

"Oh, it seems that our class has finished", mr. Lawson noticed the time.

"Oh, I'll see you tomorrow, sir",

"Good day, your highness", he bowed.

I nodded and walked out of the room, my books in my arms. Now I could finally call Ryder, I took my phone and called him.

"Hello?".

"Marcus?", I asked.

"Mona!", he sounded excited.

"Hey, Marcus! How are you and Rhyme?",

"Great, did you receive the invitation?",

"Yes and I would love to be a bridesmaid", I smiled happily.

They would get married in three months. I wanted to marry Ryder too, but I had to reign for a year to get used to everything, before we could get married.

"That's amazing! I bet you want to talk to Ryder?",

"Yes",

"Ryder, your girl is on the line", he yelled.

I blushed. Your girl, that sounded so cheesy. But believe me, when it came to our relationship, I loved going cheesy at times.

"Hey, love", there was the voice I wanted to hear.

"Babe", I smiled arriving at my chamber.

"How was class?",

I laid my books on my bureau and jumped on my bed. My maids watched me, they were here all the time. Not that I minded, I loved them. I made the sign that it was Ryder and they neared me.

"Same old. Although there was one thing", I explained him about the girl.

"Oh, I remember that. Big chaos in the country",

"It stresses me", I confessed.

"Your father took great care of it", he assured me.

"What if I make such mistake? I just want to do it right",

"You will, don't think so low of yourself. Believe me when I tell you, you will be a magnificent high queen",

"As long as you're my king", I whispered.

"I miss you",

I blushed and smiled brightly.

"I miss you too",

My maids were smiling and winking at me. I rolled my eyes.
Suddenly there was a loud crash at the other side of the line. My heart dropped and I called his name, asking what was going on.

"Some of the high school punks are being irritating again. I need to go, love", he explained.

The line went dead.

"Stop the grinning", I told my maids.

They screamed out in laughter and I rolled my eyes. So immature...

/:/:/:

"Why is it so heavy?", I asked nearly falling due the weight of the crown.

"Made out of ten different stones", my dad muttered reading through the script.

My eyes widened and I pulled it off, staring at it. The power radiating from it, scared me. Everybody surrounding me was watching it in fear. Mr. Lawson once explained me that the crown was an original gift of the moon goddess. She made it herself, so I was very careful with it.

"You raise after the priest crowns you, the room will bow and chant your name", dad read.

"Then Malcolm and Madison bow for me while I crown the, as my right hand and left hand", I went on.

My dad was stressing more than I was and I didn't want him to. It wasn't healthy. I laid my crown down and moved to him, pulling him in a hug.

"It'll be alright, dad", I assured him.

"Do you know what?", he suddenly muttered.

"I had my coronation filmed, why don't we just watch it?", he suggested.

"Will it make you stop worrying so much?". I asked.

He nodded and I agreed.
