November in New York City brought with it crisp air and the chance of snow as the temperature had fallen and a festive holiday spirit was descending upon the entire penthouse. Elijah was in the study, enjoying a nightcap when his cell phone rang. It was Rebekah. Elijah answered the phone fully expecting it to be yet another inquiring phone call to check up on Elijah. "You're where?" he asked, rising from his chair. About that same time, Angelica received a phone call from the lobby security announcing a visitor to the penthouse, Angelica listened, smiled and responded, "Yes, allow her entry." Moments later, Rebekah Mikaelson emerged from the elevator, smiling from ear to ear with her rolling suitcase in tow. Elijah embraced his sister warmly then paused as he felt Angelica standing behind him and then saw Rebekah look around him towards her. The two women paused then rushed into each other's arms. "Oh, how I am missed you sweet girl," said Rebekah, and Angelica just squeezed her tighter. She had missed her "big sister" but until that moment, she did not realize just how much. Tears fell from Angelica's face and Rebekah wiped them away, embracing Angelica again.

The Seven had come up the stairs for dinner and walked in on the reunion scene. Angelica wiped her face as she tried to regain her composure, but it was Elijah who introduced his sister, Rebekah, to The Seven. Another place was set at the dinner table and the guest room was prepared for Rebekah. The impromptu party lasted well into the morning hours as they laughed and reminisced. As The Seven began to peel off one by one to retire for what was left of the morning, only Rafe, Elijah, Angelica and Rebekah remained. Rebekah found Rafe interesting and he seemed to feel the same way about her. Even Elijah and Angelica noticed that two seemed to be getting along famously. Rafe soon excused himself for the night, telling them he would see them at breakfast, and Angelica thought he would give the siblings time to catch up so she, too, excused herself for the night, embracing Rebekah and telling her, "I'm so happy you're here," before going off to bed.

Now that they were alone in the study, Elijah looked at Rebekah and told her he was happy she had come but questioned why she had come. He asked whether she was alright, knowing that she and Marcel had recently parted ways, likely for good this time. Rebekah and Elijah talked about the last six months and her real motive for coming came out, she and Niklaus were both still worried about him since they had all left New Orleans and she came to make sure he was fine. Elijah assured her he was and that reuniting with Angelica made him feel complete, for the first time in centuries, since he had lost Angelica.

Rebekah noticed the separate bedrooms and pressed him about it, and he told her they were taking things slowly, taking time to get to know each other again. Rebekah remarked that it had been six months, what didn't they know about each other between the nearly 80 years together, and Elijah just smiled. Rebekah relented and the two decided it was time to call it a night. He kissed his sister good night and the two retired for the evening.

Angelica relished at having Rebekah under the same roof again. Rebekah convinced Angelica to sneak out of the penthouse with her so they could go to lunch and shop, and she did so without thinking twice about it. Rafe and Albee caught up with them as they came out of one of the stores, bags in tow, the SUV waiting in front for them. Albee was behind the wheel while Rafe stood on the sidewalk. He took the bags from them and put them in the back, holding the door open for the women.

Angelica smiled and climbed in the back but Rebekah refused, facing down Rafe about whether Angelica was a prisoner. Rafe told Rebekah she was not but that it was his job to escort her, they were her bodyguards and she was very important to this City and was always a target. Rebekah knew Angelica's background and experiences but challenged Rafe nonetheless. It was not until Angelica intervened telling them both it was fine that Rebekah entered the SUV next to Angelica, Rafe entered the front seat, and Albee drove away.

Albee asked where they wanted to go next and Rebekah, clearly annoyed, said to go home but Angelica suggested they stop at a cute boutique on the east side. Rebekah agreed and Albee drove them there. The boutique was very exclusive, the champagne flowed as they shopped, and when they left two hours later, bags in tow, they were laughing and giggling and generally falling into each other. Rafe eventually got them both into the SUV, loaded the bags into the back. and they all returned to the penthouse. It took both Rafe and Albee to bring up all the bags and to corral the two women, it was quite comedic.

The two women stumbled into the study and broke into another bottle of champagne. Elijah came to see the commotion and could not stop himself from laughing, amused at the state the two women were in, and thinking back to all the times in the past that Rebekah had gotten Angelica into some sort of mischief. Rebekah outlasted Angelica and before long Angelica had passed out on the couch. Elijah scooped her up, took her to her room and tucked her into bed. When Elijah came back to the study Rebekah was gone, probably to her room, thought Elijah.

But instead, Rebekah had found Rafe to continue their argument. He was outmatched and Rebekah eventually relented and retired for the evening. Rafe, shaking his head at the encounter, turned around to find himself facing Albee, grinning from ear to ear. "Oh, shut up," Rafe said to his brother as he stomped into his room and slammed the door. Albee just kept grinning at his brother as he knew that the sparks that were flying between Rebekah and Rafe were the beginnings of a new relationship for his brother, Rafe was quite obviously smitten with the Original vampire.
