Chapter 11

~Violet's POV~

I hear a scream. It's the worst scream I've ever heard. It sounds of death. I hate being trapped in this dark room. I hate the darkness. I hate feeling so useless. He needs me out there. I mean I don't know what I could do, but it'd be better than nothing I know that. I fight to break free, but it's no use. I'm helpless.

I wake up bright and early on Thursday morning by myself, though the headache might be the cause. Luckily this headache isn't as bad as the last one. Though it doesn't feel bright, it feels gloomy and miserable. I don't know why I keep having these weird dreams, but they need to stop. I get up and throw on the first clothes I find, throw a brush through my hair, brush my teeth and slip into my black converse before heading downstairs. Tee looks at me, shocked. Yeah, I'd be shocked too if I saw myself up and ready without any whining, threatening, complaining or anything. I grab a banana and eat it silently, nobody has anything to say, we're all just exhausted and grieving.

Tee and I head to school, saying our goodbyes to the family. I lean my head against the window. Tee glances at me quickly, trying to read me it feels like, but stays silent. We pull up and I jump out immediately. I keep my head low the entire first half of the day, trying to keep from dealing with drama. Lunch rolls around slowly. Tee and I, as per usual, escape the people.

"What's been going on with you today?" She asks, giving me a inquisitive glance.

"I don't know. I had a dream last night that I can't seem to shake." I sigh. Though I notice her silence at this and raise an eyebrow. "What?"

"Oh I'm sure it was nothing, but the other night I woke up from what felt like a dream without sight, if that makes any sense. I just heard it." She looks over at me, she's holding back.

"Go on." I urge. She sighs.

"We were talking." My eyes widen. No, it couldn't have been. I shake off the thought, there's no way it was my dream that she heard.

"Maybe the problem is how overdue we are for writing." I throw out there.

"Is that you telling me you want to go write?" She gives me a knowing look. I smile innocently at her.

"I would never do such a thing. How dare you accuse me."

"We'll go after school." I have other ideas though.

"Or we could go nowww." I say in a childish tone.

"And what about school?" She raises an eyebrow at me in surprise. Yeah, I hate missing.

"School'll still be here when we come back tomorrow." I roll my eyes.

"I'll text mom." She quickly grabs out her phone, taking any excuse to leave this shithole.

"Great." I smile, grabbing up our things.

"She said to stay safe and she'll call in for us." We smile at each other before running out to Snow. Tee drives away as if the place is on fire. She heads in the direction of Kindom of Magic. When she pulls up, we both jump out, grabbing our notebooks and pens. We go around to the side entrance and slip into the room.

"I'll order us some drinks." She says, before picking up the phone and doing exactly that. Henrik comes in a few moments later with our drinks as we're setting ourselves up in here.

"Shouldn't you girls be in school?" Henrik questions with a raised eyebrow.

"Ehhh we needed some writing therapy." Tee shrugs, taking a sip of her drink. Henrik laughs at that and turns around, disappearing out the door.
