Chapter Thirty Five
~Violet's POV~"Violet, you will be all better soon, I promise." A lady I've never seen before says to a crying little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes who I soon recognize to be me. I'm like two or around there anyway. I don't remember any of this. I look around to see the room that I saw the last time. Something's not right, I have more control than ever before in this vision. I'm fully aware that this is a vision and the scene is like paused in front of my eyes. What is happening? I shake my head. I walk around the two, analyzing them closely. The woman is much older than me. She has grey hair and lots of wrinkles. She looks quite old, to be honest with you. I see a door out of the corner of my eye so I walk over to it, pulling it open to reveal a completely different vibe so I step right on through. Whereas the previous room was kind of suffocating and bland, this one is bright and airy. I can clearly see that I am in a living room of some sorts. I walk closer and see a guy on a couch with a super hot girl. A scream leaves my mouth and I freeze in shock. He turns his head and his blazing blue eyes bore into mine. His blonde hair is a ruffled mess. Finally I get my head back and take off running through the first door I see which winds me up back inside of my house - the house. The house that it feels like we just bought. The place where my family currently lives - home. I look up to see that I'm in Jax's arms. I don't know how and I don't bother to question it. I just smile.
"I've missed you." I say, feeling so great as my hands touch his cheeks.
"What do you mean? We've been together all day." He chuckles. I am beyond confused, but don't even care.
"I know, but still." I say and lay my head on his chest.
"You feeling alright?" He questions, pulling away just a tad to feel my forehead. I nod. He looks at me suspiciously before pushing me back slightly. He hovers over me which leaves me breathless before he makes a move towards my stomach. The next thing that I know I'm crying due to laughing so hard. I'm screaming as well. Bloody bastard is tickling me! I beg for mercy, trying to get him to stop, but he's relentless. Finally, he stops and just pulls me to his chest.
"I love you, Violet." He says, looking at me all suddenly. I look him dead in the eyes, holding just as much seriousness in mine. "I love you, Jaxton."
When I'm punched away I don't feel the pain in my cheek. The only pain that is felt is in my heart. It felt so real, like I was genuinely there with him. A tear escapes my eye and rolls down my cheek, but a moment later a realization dawns on me. Who hit me?
I look up to see Vincent and shake my head. The past however long has passed since the sword training hadn't been too bad. My parents actually trust me - to an extent - right now which is the only source of protection that I have. Though, Vincent does not at all trust me and takes every opportunity to throw in a punch or kick when he thinks they won't notice.
"You weren't waking up." He shrugs, as if he did nothing wrong. I let out a deep sigh, ignoring him.
"Vincent, get out of here." Laura snaps, clearly angry when she sees him. She walks closer to us and slaps him, before pushing him out of the room. She walks over with an ice pack in hand and slaps it onto my face.
"Careful, Laura, I might start to think that you don't actually hate me." I mock seeing as she always doctor's me up after Vincent freaks.
"Oh belt it. I'm saving my own arse." She rolls her eyes at me, before turning and making her way out of the room herself.
The weirdest thing happened.
'You okay?'
I'm fine, just listen. I was asleep, right? I had a vision. It doesn't make any sense and isn't the point. I didn't wake up as per usual. I walked through a door and ended up in someone's living room. Then walked through another door and was in Jax's arms.
'Wait, what?'
Yeah, I know. It makes no sense.
She's silent for a good few minutes, maybe like ten? Before her voice appears in my head once more.
'Oh my goodness. You were in Jax's dream.'
I have absolutely nothing to say. What does that even mean? How is that possible? My head officially hurts after that.
~Jaxton's POV~
What just happened? Teegan has officially lost her mind.
"What do you mean that she was in my dream?" I chase after Tee.
"I don't exactly know. It doesn't make any sense, but I'm telling you, she was." She waves me off.
"Teegan, what's going on?" I can't just let her get away that easily, now can I?
"Jaxton, give me a few minutes." She turns slightly to snap at me, before continuing on. I decide better than to chase her once more so I walk outside.
I remember my dream vividly. I guess there was a change in Violet's demeanor. Actually, it did seem more like real life Vi, all upset and saying that she missed me. It just can't be possible... can it? I mean I guess I am dating a witch, but still. I run into Zan and throw him a curious look.
"Mind your own business." He says, clearly hiding something. Not really too big on my priority list - or at all. We'll all know eventually.
"Well can you not mind yours?" I question, giving him a mischievous look.
"Oh, no, what is it?" He questions, letting out an apparent sigh.
"Find out what Tee knows about the dream business." I plea.
"Dream business?" His confusion is very evident.
"Something about Violet in my dream, not exactly sure. Be sure to let me know what you gather. Thanks, mate." I rush off before he has time to protest. Great mate, that one is.
I walk down the road, looking up to the clouds. I never truly saw them until Violet showed me the beauty in them. I guess it really is easy to overlook the beauty in simple things. Violet brings out a good side of me that I never even knew still existed, sort of like my humanity. Each day around her makes me want to strive to be better and each day away makes me want to be even better than the last time that I saw her.
I don't even notice until I arrive, but somehow I managed to make it to Violet's sanctuary that I had spent hours on for her birthday - the present she never got to see. I walk up to the porch to see the little purple flowers inside of flower pots and an older looking rocking chair sitting to the right side of it. I open the door and instantly just smell the books. I look over them, knowing that this is everything she would never ask for. I look over at the bay window, remembering how she had said that she always wanted one. I nod, looking it over, a deep breath escaping my mouth. This place was designed especially for her. I spent hour of sweat to perfect it, along with Zander. I can still picture how I imagine her seeing it for the first time to be. She'd have a huge smile across her face, but confusion would still be clear. She'd see it all and her face would just light up. I imagine there would be tears. I'd give her a big hug and we'd sit down to read. That was always the plan and I still see it. I don't know when and I don't know how, but I will save her and bring her here. This is where she'd find refuge. Though, the place Tee bought is a pretty great place for them as well, but I know Vi. She'd need a place that's specifically hers. She'd need somewhere that she can go to escape all of us and just read. Violet's really big on isolation and I can relate. I am super proud of this place and I can just feel it, Vi will be too.
I get a call from Zan so I have to answer it.
"Okay, so Teegan suspects that Violet somehow got trapped in a vision and that transported her into either another vision or another dream, before it took her to your dream. So she kind of like dream hopped." Zander is quick to explain, well more like theorize. I hang up knowing that's all of the information I'll be able to receive from him.
I mean that's a pretty strange and scary thought, but apart of me hopes it to be true. Maybe in some sort of way we managed to communicate. None of this makes any sense, but I'm not too worried about it. We're all safe - that's what's most important.
