~Teegan's POV~

We've been looking for hours. I'm exhausted. We've searched every corner in William's Gate, but we absolutely cannot find them!

We're currently at the house, thinking of where to go next. "We've literally looked everywhere. They're not here!" Violet cried, grabbing handfuls of her hair and tugging. Her face was stained a blotchy red shade with tears of despondency rapidly cascading down her now puffy cheeks, leaving her looking so weak and feeble.

I pace, not knowing what to do.

"Wait."

Zander, Violet and I all whirl our heads around and stare at Jaxton, waiting for him to talk. "I know where to look!" He jumped up, shared an intense glance with Violet and ran out the front door, not waiting for anybody. All of us hurriedly followed him, sprinting as fast as we could. We all ran with hope for a good ten minutes before stopping at the entrance of the fair grounds.

Realization swept across Violet's face, "the teacups!"

Jaxton was the first one to take off, me charging behind him with Zander and Violet close behind me. Jaxton reached the teacups and instantly froze, his whole body becoming motionless. I quickly got to the teacups, halting right beside Jaxton. A small croak came from him right before he quavered down to his knees, remorse covering every inch of his face.

My baby sister, my dear Iris, was lying on the handle on the big teacup in the middle of the ride, dangling lifelessly. Her skin a light gray color, her shirt matted with blood - she was dead. To the left of her stomach was a big and deep gash, blood almost rotting around it.

At the end of her drooping feet lays Mikey. The previous shine that once danced in his brown orbs are nothing but aging fright and sadness. He was sluggishly lying on the cold metal flooring of this now morbid ride, with a sickening hole covering his once clear throat. Purple and brown seepage dried onto his lifeless skin, making me want to vomit.

I hear a sudden 'thud', provoking me to look down to my right.

Heartbroken and enmity painted Jaxton's face. The usual strong man was now on his knees, glaring at the horrendous scene. Gut-wrenching sobs tearing through his chest, begging to be heard.

They're dead. Iris and Mikey are gone forever.

Ample tremor overtook me, my body wracking with an onslaught of sobs and tears.

An agonized howl escaped Violet's lips as she tried getting on the ride to touch the kids, disbelief masked her face. Zander quickly reached out, wrapping his arms around her quivering body. He pulled her into his chest, tightly holding onto her, whispering soothing nothings to her.

"Let go! They need me! They need me!" She screamed, reaching out to the kids with shaky hands.

"Please! They need me!" She started thrashing around, trying to break free.

Zander didn't make a sound, tightening his hold on her.

"Please!" She begged, wild tears uncontrollably forcing their way down her face.

Zander closed his eyes, squeezing unforgivable tears onto his ashen face.

Violet went still, reaching out once more, "Please. I need them." She quietly whimpered, her head falling down.

I stared back at Mikey and Iris, deep emotions stirring inside of me with no other outlet than my endless sobs. Hot torrents of pain coursed down my face, leaving trails of everlasting burning agony.

They can't just be gone. They're all I had left. They can't be gone.

I shook my head, my frightened hands spazzing violently. "Please, no. This can't be happening." I breathed, desolated sobs of hopelessness and grief breaking out.
