It's One of the Things (Boys Boys Boys) Ep. 4

There are a lot of crappy phrases out there that need to be played out, but one that really grinds my gears is "boys will be boys."

Boys beating each other up on the playground. Oh, boys will be boys.

Boys shoveling food down their throats like vultures. Oh, boys will be boys.

Boys taking advantage of innocent girls. Oh, boys will be boys.

I know boys who are reading this are all like, "What?!"

But I have to admit, it's quite the truth.

"Double what?!"

Okay, okay. Sometimes.

You happy now?

I'm not a firm believer of this figurative expression about boys but I'm still unconvinced. Actions speaks louder than words.

I sometimes don't understand why every time I say this, they instantly get pissed off. I couldn't blame them though. I kinda feel them when I imagined myself if I was in their shoes.

Every girl's life have always experienced being around this humanly figure bursting with testosterone. Believe me, I've been there. I even befriended a transferee from Manila in the middle of the first semester during freshman year. It was very unlikely of me to do that since I despise them before but I only did it just so he can save himself from being bullied. Ever since, he's always been my best friend. (Not to mention so popular and talented. That guy can pull off a mean boogie.)

See? Even guys have a weak side in their past.

Other than that, I feel so much comfortable hanging out with dudes than my own kind. (Sorry, chicas!) Cause they can be so real and sincere and definitely good listeners than girls who just like to talk a lot about themselves. I think it's always good to just sit down, shut the hell up and listen to boy advices. They really come in handy because a boy's world can be a whole lot of querencia. I get advices from boys on the on how much they like girls to make first move, work outs, vagary, being happy and liberated, etc. (There's too much, I've lost count.)

Guys can also be honest and funny without trying too hard.

Like. . .

Laughing at their vague remarks even if it wasn't a joke,

Showing their teeth full of chocolate,

Accidentally falling off a curb by the road.

Making weird faces just to make you laugh.

*stares dreamily*

Alright, I've gotta stop before I fall in love.

Heck, I'm doing this chapter to teach boys a lesson. Cause they can sometimes be a pain in the butt.

I've talked to a lot of girls and did some research on books and the internet. Pretty much, we have the same perspective.

So mate, if you only have mind-reading powers, we would save ourselves from so much pain.

But since the 21st century doesn't work that way, I'll let you in a woman's mind just for two minutes. It could take an hour but trust me, a gazillion things run on our wits.

Before you read this, don't you ever dare think that these are just some lame Tumblr or Twitter posts!! And this isn't also the thoughts of a nagging woman's head!
