Chapter Eighteen

Nothing's sacred huh?

Fine. I've listed down some random facts about me which are technically secrets of mine. But I'm not going to tell everything. I have some deep secrets not worth sharing, my family and friends know nothing about it.

But since everyone likes juicy secrets every once in a while, (ADMIT IT!!!) I'm gonna share it to all of you, loves! So the stuff you're gonna read are the things I've remembered just now. Since I'm 16, I'll list down 16 of them.

Here goes nothing.

1. My parents had my older sister back then they weren't married. So technically, after getting married, they had me. Think of it I was the firstborn legal child. (Kudos to my older sister. She's the bomb!)

2. You already know this from the past chapter but I'm going to say it anyways. My mom thought I was a dead fetus because she couldn't even feel something from me. Even from the ultrasound, I was completely immobile. Not a single move. (Weird.)

3. When I first came out, I looked completely different after I turned to a toddler. Like I was really tan and my skin was saggy. My dad once asked if I was really his child. Cause I was ugly. True Story. (Ouch. But look at me now! My dad is eating his heart out. Lol.)

4. I was the eponymous child. I was named after my mom and dad's first names. They just did some alterations.

5. I loved canned sardines as a kid. I eat them all the time, I once asked my mother to serve it for my birthday party.

6. I thought a sunny side up egg on top of fried rice was like a cherry on top of an ice cream sundae. I had that for breakfast for three years straight.

7. When I was in 4th grade, after school, (I wasn't allowed to go outside until my chauffeur came to pick me up.) I would sneakily go at the back of the school and go to the nearest sari-sari store to buy pocketfuls of chewing gum. I was addicted to them until two years later, I despise them. I literally hate chewing gum. If you point one to me, I will seriously kill you!!

8. But if you give me a bag of gummy bears, I will marry you. Just kidding. I will be your friend forever.

9. I ALMOST DIED!!! Seriously. I had a serious dengue infection. I was in the hospital for months. I lost a lot of blood, my hospital bed was one bloodbath. One day, I was having this really weird dream seeing nothing but white. When I opened my eyes, my whole family, five nurses and two doctors were all staring at me like a miracle happened. My mom was the first one who came to me and hugged me with damp eyes. They never told me what really happened since then.

10. I wasn't really a bright child growing up. Until high school. It was like a huge shotgun

11. You're gonna get crazy! And I'm not seriously joking. I'm an individual born with mixed descents. My parents claim I'm 12.5% Chinese, 12.5% Indian, 25% Indonesian, 25% Filipino, 12.5% Moroccan, 12.5% Spanish-Portuguese.

12. I burp 100+ times a day.

13. I daydream all the time. Especially while listening to music.

14. I'm a born and bred swimmer as a kid. I loved the waters so much. I never understand though why I didn't join the swimming competition.

15. When I was about three, I couldn't leave the house without my handy Canon 300D. Until my older sister's 18th birthday, my dad swapped it with the debut photographer in exchange for the payment of the photo/video shoot of the whole event. (I'm seriously cool with that. Even my father didn't tell me.)

16. I'm a self-confessed iPhoneographer for 4 years.

Okay, since I'm turning 17 this year, I'll give out one last secret. And you're going to be up for an electric shock.

17. I'm not planning to throw a debutante party for my 18th birthday. I'm still considering it though. But I seriously don't.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. I did because I get to look back at the memories that made me the person I am today. I think I'm going to do this every once in a while.

But I have to warn you. These are just SOME of my secrets. I plan to share my deep, dark secrets to the father of my children.
