Fast forward to the next day. . .

Ziiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip! *thumbs up for a writer's time machine*

Monday morning.

The brilliant sun is beating down on me when I wake. This time, I wasn't feeling all annoyed and baffled. It's another week! But not just any other week. It's the week where a lot of things can happen in a snap of my finger. But today, it's time for me to take the entrance exam the college I'm attending to. I was scheduled for the 8:30 exams.

I grabbed my iPhone to check the time. 6:30. Being the lazy girl I was, I decided to lay back on bed and catch a few more winks. I was having a sexy dream. Besides, I could hear water streaming from the bathroom. My mom probably getting ready for work at the office.

All of a sudden, I was wide awake and pushed my sleepy body to rise up; afraid I've overslept. I hurriedly checked the time. 6:59. Thank God! And perfect timing! I planned to get ready by 7:00 am. And I have a minute to spare!

After a 30-minute shower, I went to the dresser (as always!) and brushed my unruly damp hair, applied my fave facial moisturizer to my face and the VS Sweet Temptation hydrating lotion all over my body. Afterwards, I opted for something to wear. I was going to take an exam, not fashion week. So I came up with faded skinny jeans, a green half-sleeved top and a comfy white zip-up wedge. No make-up for me. A pair of my glasses completed the look.

Breakky time!

It's been almost a week that I had oatmeal for breakfast. But not just any plain old boring oatmeal. It's a-trip-to-chocolate-heaven kind of oatmeal with a side of peaches. After pouring about 2 1/2 tablespoons of oats, I put about 3-4 tablespoons of cocoa powder which is absolutely fat-free! After letting it sit in steaming hot water, it's all ready! And definitely a pure chocolate waterfall dancing on my tastebuds! It definitely reminds me of my Aunt Debbie's famous Minnesota no-bake chocolate cookie oats. I licked off the bowl batter to the last drop.

Too bad I only get to enjoy half a cup of it. Oh well, at least I'm stuffed!

It's already 8:00 am. I have my requirements and handbag ready to go. Except for...someone to take me there! My dad is still asleep. And I know just how to wake him up.

I entered the room quietly, not letting the door creak. and tiptoed my way towards the bed. There, I found a 5"9 masculine laying in an unusual sleeping position. I climbed myself up to the bed then, like a sneaky tiger hiding in the tall grasses to hunt for her prey, I waited for the right time to strike. After a few seconds, I pushed myself off the bed and landed towards my dad's body.

Not a single whimper, he didn't wake up in an instant. Instead, he slowly opened his eyes.

He didn't feel anything?

"Seriously, dad? I've gained like five pounds!"

He closed his eyes back with a smug smile. "You're still as light as a feather."

That was one thing of having his own way; compliments someone.

But I'm not falling for his games.

"That's nice. Now get up. You promised me you'd take me there."

"Hmm, kay." He rose up and yawn. "Coffee."

I drew a huge sigh. "Fine." And jumped off the bed.

I went to the kitchen and fixed his morning coffee. It's been a habit actually. My dad is not a breakfast person. His idea of a typical breakfast is a cup of coffee and a stick of cigarette. Figures.

I brought the steaming cup to my dad. "Dad, we have to hurry. It's already 8:12!" He took the cup from my hands. "Nonsense! We'll get there in time."

And by "in time", it meant "Filipino time" for him. When I went to the car, it was already 8:49. And with his slow driving, we came around 9 am on the dot.

"Dad, as much as I love you which is forever and always, I hate you right now!"

He grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer. "Oh, come on. I'm sure nothing could go wrong!"

I sure hope he's right.

-----------------------------------------

What do you think that happened?

I want you to take a wild guess, loves! You'll find out soon in Part 3.

"What?!"

That's right! There's Part 3. What happened for the whole day was so surreal, I wanted to share it to all of you.

Time to break a sweat...and bones!

Till the next odyssey!
