Jesy Nelson, 26, from the band little mix was in a high speed road accident on the way back from night out with girlfriend and fellow band mate Jade Thirlwall last night. The outcome is not yet known but witnesses say it was bad. A statement from the band has not yet been released but is due soon. According to a source Jesy was alone in the taxi and the other girls are safe. Our thoughts are with her, her family and her band mates in this time. We will keep you updated as more information comes in.

Little Mix's Instagram: it is with great sadness and regret that we inform you that last night our beloved Jesy was taken away from us in a horific road accident. Words cannot describe how deply affected and upset we are to have to bring you this horrible news. Our thoughts are with her family in this time and the girls as well. Our deepest sympathy is with the family of Jesy Nelson and the little mix girls after tragedy struck on Saturday night. News came in this morning, via the group instagram and twitter that Jesy Nelson was in fact killed in the accident on Saturday night. It is not yet known quite how it happened but our thoughts and prayers are with them all. Mixers have taken to social media following this heartbreak filling it with their favourite memories of the singer and proving their unity in such horrific and upsetting circumstances. Many of them have been sending thoughts to Jade Thirlwall, following this, who was not only her band mate but most recently her girlfriend. Once again our deepest sympathy goes out to the girls of little mix and Jesy's family.
