This is part of my new thing Y/N and Little Mix. I'll write each of the girls with you basically. I've never done it before so I hope it's okay!
tropical_lerrie this is for you, I hope you like it xx
Perrie's POV
"No you can't go yet mam, I'm not ready for you to go, fight it mammy" I cried, as her eyes began to close, rattled breaths escaping her pale lips.
"I have to Perrie, look after Y/N please, don't let anything happen to her" Mam whispered back, lifting her hand to my face to swipe away my tears.
"I will Mam, I promise" I choked out, as her eyes closed and her soul slipped away, a loud beep following. I collapsed in a heap, I knew it was just a matter of time before she went but it had finally happened and it stung. Every part of my body ached from the emotion. How am I meant to live without her?
Y/N
13 and parentless
I would have to break the news to her. What makes it even worse is she's away on a residential with school. She didn't even get to say goodbye.
After I had cried for a solid 2 hours, probably longer, I left the room where my mam had been and went back to my childhood home. Once I was there I rang the school and told them the news, asking them not to tell Y/N. Then I set off to London where she was.
"Hi baby" I said when her teacher brought her to see me
"Hi Perrie, why are you here?" She asked me, as I took her into a hotel room.
"I've got to talk to you babs" I told her keeping my face as emotionless as possible, sitting on the bed. My heart was beating a million miles and hour at this point, I knew I was about to break her heart for the first time ever in her life, I was not ready. Neither was she.
"What?" She asked, sitting next to me.
"Well, you know how mama was sick," I said, taking her hands, "well she got a bit more poorly yesterday" I approached nervously, seeing her face begin to change, "and in the night she died" I finished in a whisper, stroking her nuckles, as her face turned down. I wrapped my arms around her as she sobbed, resolving me to tears once again. We cried for a long time, folded in eachother's embraces, me comforting her and her comforting me. The pain was so much, I thought she'd be able to hear my heart breaking. Nothing I could say to her would make anything better but I found myself muttering things anyway.
After a little bit I pulled away and whispered, kissing her forehead after, "I'm so sorry Y/N/N I'm gonna look after you though, you can live with me and travel with me babe, I promise, it's going to be okay"
"Really?" she asked, looking up at me, so much sorrow in her big Y/E/C eyes.
"Of course, do you want to stay on your trip or come to the flat with me?" I questioned, brushing her Y/H/C hair away from her face.
"come with you." she said, laying her head on my shouder. I just nodded, relieved I could look after her.
A few moments later I asked, "which one is your room?" as I held her hand and walked to the door.
"204. Pezzie?" she said, sniffing a little.
"yes babs," I looked at her, tugging her into my side, as we walked down the corridor.
"when are they... when are they you know... er" she stuttered, trying to ask me somthing. Something I knew she was going to ask eventually.
"going to bury her?" I asked delicately, fairly sure that was what she was asking.
"yeah" she nodded, pulling out her room key.
"we're not sure yet but we don't need to think about that yet, auntie tracy is going to sort it for us okay, now lets pack and go and see the girls" I said, following her to her bed which was the tidiest in the room.
I packed her stuff whilst she snuggled the teddy mam had given her, I hadn't even looked away for that long before I heard her sob once more. "Oh my chicken, come here," I cooed, opening my arms for her again, holding her tiny body, showering it with as much love as possible.
Once she was packed, I got in the car and held her hand the whole way home, casually tracing my thumb over her knuckles for what must have been the tenth time that day. She fell asleep with about ten minutes left, her grip loosening on my hand.
My phone began ringing so I answered it on the car phone, "hi Jade"
"Hi my sweetheart, did you pick her up?" Jade asked me, talking quietly.
"Yeah, it was rough, she's asleep I'm almost home, I'll let you know if she's up for the film night but I'm not sure." I explained, talking quietly.
"Alright, ma love, we're here for you if you need a chat and a cuddle." Jade reminded me, as Y/N stirred a little.
"Thanks Jade, I'll maybe see you later." I said, stroking the little girl's hand.
"Okay, give Y/N/N a cuddle for me" Jade said before the phone disconnected.
As this happened I pulled into the driveway and parked the car. Sighing, I sunk down into my seat turning to look at the 13 year old who's life had changed forever.
Tears dripped down my face as I watched her sleep, enjoying how innocent she looked, thinking back to the first time I held her when I was 9. Life was much easier back then. I allowed myself to feel everything, recognising, for maybe the first time that my life had changed forever.
"Hey baba, we're here," I told her, rubbing her leg softly trying to bring her around from her small nap. She yawned but fell back asleep, curling her body into the cream leather seats.
"Awe Y/N/N, it's time to wake up, we're here." I said a little louder, shaking her shoulder. This time she stirred a little more and said "Mam?" basically breaking my heart once more.
"Awe baby its Pezzie, not Mam" I said gently, hugging her tightly, as her tears began to fall again, choking back my own.
"Is it real Pez? Is she gone?" She asked, pulling away from my shoulder to stare into my eyes. All I could do was nod, afraid if I spoke I'd burst into tears again,
"you'll always look after me right?" She said, fiddling with the promise ring Alex gave me, twisting it round my finger.
"Course I will, you're my Y/N/N how could I not, we're gonna have so much fun! Speaking of fun Jadey-wadey has invited us over for our weekly film night, now it's up to you if you want to go but I thought it mike take your mind off everything." I told her, holding her hand, squeezing it tighter than normal.
"I'd like that Per, can we pick though, I don't want to watch a horror film that Jesy or Leigh picks?" She asked, once, we had got out of the car.
"Yay! Of course you can, I'll call Jade later and tell her, for now, let's cuddle on the sofa and forget about everything."
And that's what we did, every night, healing eachother very slowly, until the pain was enough to handle and life was back feeling normal. The new normal anyway.
