For Jeffy122 it's a bit crap 💩 just a warning ⚠️

"Good girl, one more push and Baby will be here." The midwife encourages, as the exhausted woman musters up enough energy to push one last time. Bearing down, chin pressed firmly to her chest, she squeezes hard, putting everything she has into giving life. Her breath shortens and her brain fogs, the lack of oxygen quickly taking effect. But it's broken by a whimper, quiet but there and clear as day to the new mother.

"Oh baby." She cries, emotions taking over her, as the small human begins to cry louder, learning how to uses their lungs, "I've been waiting for you."

"Congratulations mum, a little boy!" The nurse says, placing him on her chest, a fairly thin blanket wrapped around him.

"Thank you" She says, stroking a finger on her boy's rosy cheek, "you look just like him," she told the baby, the buzz of the nurses fading away, as she studied him. He had a little chunk to him, as well as dark hair that curled and a dimple in his chin. He was beautiful to her and she smiled as she watched his hand curl around her finger, next to the ring he had given her.

"What a beautiful baby mum, does he have a name?" The senior nurse asked, as she got an ID bracelet ready for him.

"Yes I think Mason Andre Pinnock-Grey" she finished, smiling slightly, as she said it, knowing he'd be jumping around in joy with that name.

"Great, can I take him now to weigh him and get all of his stats?" She asked, holding her hands out ready to receive Mason from Leigh's arms.

Leigh-Anne nodded, giving him up reluctantly, wanting to hold onto the last remaining memory of him. Thankfully though she quickly got him back and got to hold him to her heart's content once the hoards of people had dispersed.

"Hi Mason, I'm so glad to finally have you" she cooed to him, in ore of her creation. "You look like daddy, he'd be so proud, so happy to have you." She continued, rocking him slightly.

"You're the last thing I have of him and I'm going to love you and cherish you forever." Leigh-Anne whispered, as the baby began to fall asleep on her chest.

6 years Later

She stood next to the Ikea bed, looking at the sleeping child. His Afro was falling into his face slightly and soft breaths exited his cherub lips. She still couldn't believe they had made that, they had achieved such a thing between them. Even at this age he resembled his father, well Leigh thought at least.

She had kept her promise and loved and cherished him, ensuring he knew how much he meant to her. Mason was the only memory of Andre she had left, the only thing on earth that was a piece of him. And Mason knew that. He had known since he was 4 and realised most families have a mum and a dad. To Mason though, he was just in a far away place called heaven and he couldn't come back because it was too far. Mason knew he would go one day though, knew he would meet his dad and live with him.

Leigh bent down and kissed his head, whispering, "I love you Mason and so does Daddy," content filling her, as he smiled in his sleep. Little did she know he was dreaming about his dad.

Bit shit but 🤷‍♀️ I guess it'll do.
