Alex had gotten 3 kids dressed, fed and delivered to school before Perrie had even fluttered an eyelash that morning.

He was sat in the kitchen, reading his training review sheet from the previous session, when he heard light footsteps padding their way towards him on the polished marble floor.

Looking up he saw his wife rubbing her eye slightly, her left hand wrapped around her stomach, seemingly to protect it from the draught.

"Look who finally joined Me!" Alex joked, standing up to wrap his wife in a hug.

" 'M sick" she mumbled resting her burning forehead on his chest, finding no comfort in his tee shirt.

"I'm sorry to hear baby," he soothed, stroking her hair, "the kids are all at school or day care so you won't have to worry about them." He continued, moving her so she was closer to the counter.

"Thanks" she croaked, as he lifted her onto the counter, her head moving to rest against his shoulder now.

"What's up then gorgeous? What's not feeling well?" Alex asked, trying to move away so he could look at her, only to be pulled in by Perrie who was having none of it.

"I've got a head ache and my tummy hurts and I feel dizzy" she listed, her head pounding.

"Poor you, I tell you what, why don't we get you back to bed and get you some food and see if we can't help you out?" Alex suggested, earning a nod from Perrie, who immediately lifted a hand to her head in discomfort.

"Aww baby!" Alex sighed, rubbing her back slightly, kissing her temple. Without another word he picked her up, supporting her under her bum and carried her up the stairs to their room, where he laid her down and tucked the duvet up to her chin. He closed the curtains for her before coming to sit next to her. "Are you feeling hungry Darlin'?" He asked, kissing her burning head.

She shook it and began to close her eyes, snuggling into Alex's leg. "Okay, shweet'art, I think I need to take your temp and get you some medicine before you drift off." He said trying to get up, only to be pulled back in by Perrie. "Honey I've got to get up, and get you some stuff to make you feel better, I'll not be gone long, I'm pretty sure the thermometer is still out from when Tiny was sick." He explained, before kissingher head and moving away.

Getting the thermometer and liquid medicine he crouched down next to her and slipped the device into her mouth.

"I'm sorry you're not feeling great boo, you must have caught what Cer had." Alex sighed, stroking her hair, kissing her temple again. The thermometer took that moment to beep and display 38.4 on the screen, "Aww baby you really aren't well, bless you," Alex said, rubbing Perrie's back.

"Just want to sleep" Perrie mumbled, covering her eyes.

"I know angel, have this and then you can sleep." Alex said, drawing a syringe full of Calpol up for her. She opened her mouth and swallowed it, pretty much falling asleep straight away after. Alex stayed by her side for a while before putting a packet of tissues and the bin next to her, deciding to leave her to it.

Their daughter Cerys had just got over this and it seemed Perrie had caught it, unsurprisingly, as she had slept next to the 3 year-old for the day she had been her worse. Cerys had been pretty bad and Alex recalled her vomiting none stop for a few hours so he was sure that was to come.

As he sunk onto the couch, grabbing his review sheet again, the phone rang, filling the once silent room with shrill noises. Wanting to prevent it ringing as soon as possible, he jumped up and answered it, saying "hello?"

"Alex is that you?" The voice on the other end said.

Alex immediately recognised it as Leigh-Anne, "Hi Leigh, it is"
