Chapter 14

I sighed in content as I woke up next to Toby. I smiled at his sleeping face. He was just the cutest and sexiest human I'd ever met. I ran my fingers through his golden locks, pushing them out of his face.

I leaned closer to his lips and kissed them softly before getting out of bed. I stretched and went to take a shower. Once I was done I got out and wrapped a towel around my waist before going to my foggy mirror. I wiped it down before looking at myself.

My skin was changing tone, I was becoming less pale and more tan. I switched to my shadow form and saw my eyes had gone from onyx black to red. I switched to my demon form and noticed my tar black skin was becoming grey.

I switched back and smiled to myself. I really was in love, wasn't I?

I walked into our room and changed into some casual clothes again. Once I had my clothes on I went and sat on the edge of the bed on my side. The memories I have of yesterday were replaying themselves and I couldn't get enough. I felt closer to him last night than I ever have so far in our relationship.

The passion he has for his friends is very worthy of my envy. The love they have for one another is truly amazing. Makes me feel bad for doing what I've done to humans before, but not all humans are amazing...most of them are trash.

But last night I really saw him in his element. Learnt more about his character. Anyone could love him, even my father if he gave him a chance would fall in love with his charm...his amazing character.

I smiled softly at the memory of us dancing yesterday.

Flashback
A slow song started to play and a wide smile came onto Tobias' face. He looked at me and I cocked an eyebrow in questioning. "This is my favorite song, d'you wanna dance with me?" He asked, holding his hand out. I smiled and took it and we were off to the dance floor.

"I never took you for the type to like slow music." I said as we started to dance, swaying from side to side with the music. "Oh I love it, it allows me to be as close to my partner as possible." He responded and I smiled. I pulled him closer, smiling uncontrollably at how close we were.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend my evening.
Flashback over

That was the highlight of my night. Just holding him close and moving with him. Just taking in the fact that he was all mine and I was all his and nothing could destroy what we were building...what we already had.

I'd never had this with anyone else and, I'm assuming, neither had he. But that's why it was so strong, because we'd never had it before, we wanted to protect it...make it last a long long time. Help it grow into something even better and experience it with each other, experience it together.

I felt a soft kiss being laid on my neck gently and I smiled. I turned and looked at my beautiful boyfriend. "You're up early." He whispered into my ear from behind me. "I wanted to see your beautiful face whilst you slept." I whispered back.

He chuckled and let his arms hang in front of me from my shoulders. I wiggled my fingers against his and he giggled adorably. I smiled brighter before snapping my fingers. We were now looking at each other in the bathroom.

He was sitting on the countertop where the sink was and I was standing in between his legs. I took out a towel and wet it before putting it to my mark. He winced as usual and I kissed his cheek. I lifted it from the four holes in his neck and put a little healing kiss on them.

I didn't want them to heal completely otherwise I'd have to mark him again and I didn't want to do that. But I healed them a little to take away the pain and keep them from bacteria and infections.

"Thank you." He whispered as I finished. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek again. "You're welcome, go freshen up Kitten I'll make us breakfast." I said and he nodded before hopping off the counter. He was going to go to the tub when I stopped him and pulled him to my body making him yelp in surprise.

"I love you Tobias." I said as I put a strand of his hair behind his ear. He smiled as his cheeks turned a soft pink. "I love you too Lathaniel." He whispered back, resting his hands on my chest.
