I held Toby in my arms as we sat on the bathroom floor of the restaurant we were in. He was shaking like a leaf having a panic attack. Tears were streaming down his cheeks and his breathing was uneven.
He'd thought he saw Adam walk into the restaurant and ran to the bathroom immediately, didn't even wait to see if it was Adam or not. I followed after him and found him in a stall having this panic attack so I sat down with him and held him and fifteen minutes later it was still going on.
I stroked his hair gently and held him tighter and tighter. He began to calm down and that's when I made him look at me. His blue eyes were huge and puffy and his face was red but he looked so cute.
"Are you okay?" I asked him and he nodded. "Adam can't hurt you Kitten." I said reassuringly. "H-how do you k-know?" He stuttered making me frown. "I put a spell on you, it's like a protective shield only you can't see it, but I can. And if you feel threatened by anything, even me, it'll protect you." I answered.
"You should've t-told me e-earlier..." He breathed out a little laugh making me smile softly. I kissed him gently and he calmed down completely when he kissed back. We pulled away from each other and I smiled at him making him blush slightly.
"You don't have to worry about him, okay Kitten?" I asked and nodded. "Thank you Lathan." He whispered as he hugged me tightly. "Let's go home." He suggested and I nodded. "Okay." I said as I kissed his cheek.

Once we got home my blood began to boil for some reason. Either there was a threat or a specific person in the house. I made Toby stop for a second before we started walking up the stairs to the house.
I used my powers to quickly check the entire house and found that someone was inside. I turned to Tobias and kissed his marking, activating it manually, before allowing us to enter. He wanted to ask questions but he could sense that he was to stay silent.
We walked in and immediately I began to calm down as the scent of lilac filled my nostrils. It wasn't anyone to be afraid of but it wasn't someone I wanted to see. "Emerald, get out here." I said and my statement was followed by sighs of irritation coming from the kitchen.
Emerald came out and smiled at me innocently making my scowl grow deeper. "What do you want?" I asked the green haired woman. "I just wanted to see your boyfriend." She replied. "How'd you find out?" I questioned her.
"News travels in your work place, what can I say." She said as she shrugged. "Now don't be rude, introduce me." She said and turned her gaze to Tobias who was holding onto me like his life depended on it.
I rolled my eyes before clearing my throat. "Tobias, this is my friend Emerald and Emerald, this is my boyfriend Tobias." I introduced them. Tobias merely waved which made Emerald coo. "Hi, it's really nice to meet you." She said friendlily.
"Nice to meet you too." He said lowly in response. "He's a shy one? I never knew." She said trying to get a good look at him from where she was. "He's shy around creatures he's not familiar with, you can thank my parents for that." I responded.
"Oh, well don't worry Toby. I'm a siren and I know we have bad connotations to us, but sirens aren't that bad anymore." She told him. She spoke to him as if he was a little kid, which wasn't surprising because he was acting like one but it was cute.
"Right, you've seen him. You can leave now." I said, speaking on behalf of him. "Yes I have, but I actually really need to speak with you." She responded seriously. "What's this about?" I asked snapping my fingers so Tobias couldn't hear anything.
He wanted to say something but he was too afraid. "Someone came to me, asked me to find and make Toby hallucinate about him." She explained. "Who was this someone?" I questioned.
"Didn't give a name but he looked like this." She said before making me hallucinate. In my short hallucination I saw Adam in his true form. She then let me go and I was out of it. "He said he wanted something from Toby and I said I'd do it for the right price but then I discovered he was yours, so I came here." She finished.
"Thank you Emerald." I said snapping my fingers so Toby could hear again. "No problem, it was nice meeting you Tobias...and Lathan, talk later?" She asked. "Yea." I answered and she nodded before going on her way.
I sighed before snapping my fingers, taking Toby and I upstairs.
