Piper knew something was wrong the minute her call went to voicemail. After she was kidnapped by the Time Jerker Henry told her she was Kid Danger and the two became better friends. "Mom! Where's Henry?!" Her mom yelled back,

"At work!" She unplugged her phone then sprinted out the door towards Junk 'n Stuff. When she arrived no one was at the front desk so she walked straight into the secret elevator and entered the Man Cave. Five people sat on the circular couch eating nachos.

"Thank God!" Henry looked up and she froze. He was crying, or at least stopped crying before she came. His eyes were bloodshot and his face was paler than she remembered. "Henry?" She asked quietly. "Did... Did something happen?" He shook his head 'no'. "Do you want to talk about it?" He shook his head 'no' again then looked at his friends. "You know they need to know this Henry. It's a part of your past, they'll find out sooner or later." Henry wrote something down and showed it to her

I prefer later...

She nodded then started to slowly move towards him. He flinched as she began to get within arms reach so she stopped. "Henry, you agreed if one happened you would tell me."

Nothing happened!

She smiled lightly, "we both know that's not true." He shook his head again then covered his face with his arms on the table.

The others had no idea what was happening, it was obvious something happened to Henry during the last 'mission', but no one even touched him, he used his super powers. After a few minutes Piper realized her older brother fell asleep. She turned to his boss and asked, "is there a spare room he can sleep in?" Ray nodded then fireman carried his sidekick out of the room. When he returned he didn't even wait to sit back down.

"What was that?!" She shot him a look then began with,

"This is going to be... Hard for you all to understand." Charlotte and Jasper looked at her then Jasper said,

"If Henry didn't want us to know something about him why are you telling us?" She sighed then sat in her brother's vacant seat.

"Because if you are working and it happens you need to know what to do." Charlotte spoke,

"If what happens?" Piper sighed and leaned backwards. She replied,

"A flashback. Henry told you the reason we moved was because he was getting bullied right?" They all nodded, "that's only a half truth. Remember that school shooting in Langsdale a few years back?" Ray nodded then said,

"I couldn't go. Toddler escaped prison again." She frowned, but continued. "Well, the shooter only killed one person. Henry's best friend, who actually tried to jump in front of the bullet to save Henry." Charlotte audibly gasped and covered her mouth in shock. "Now if anything similar to that situation happens he freezes up for a few minutes then pretends everything is fine. Know that it's not. When this happens you need to remind him he's safe, and that you'll never leave him... Otherwise... He'll make bad choices." Jasper asked,

"What kind of bad choices?" She frowned,

"Very bad choices. Anyways, we moved here and Mitch didn't help matters much. When I found out he was Kid Danger I was relieved because I knew you would take care of him if something happened. He claims the lockers slamming shut remind him of the gunshot. He can't go to rock concerts because the loud cheering reminds him of the screams. He can't really do much, but he can be a hero." When she ended the story the room was quiet until they heard a scream coming from the spare room. Henry's room. Without saying anything the five people rushed to his side. "Henry? Henry wake up. It's only a dream, you're not really there! Come back to me Henry..." He gasped and sat up shaking. He looked around then groaned.

"Please tell me you didn't tell them!" She winced,

"I had to! It's not safe if you're fighting some villain and freeze up!" Henry shook his head and hugged her.

"What would I do without you?" She smiled,

"Nothing at all. Mom's waiting at home with fresh baked cookies." Henry's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.

"Really?!" She nodded. "Then what are we waiting for?!" He scooped her up and ran into the elevator. As promised a plate of fresh hot cookies was waiting for him when he got home.
