Request: Henry being younger than he said and Ray finds out and is really overprotective (probs finds out coz Hen got hurt and Char and Jasp told Ray coz they're worried for him).

Henry lied to his boss. It wasn't a big lie, in his opinion it doesn't even classify as a white lie, but nevertheless... his mistake bit him in the butt in the end. "What the heck are you talking about? Henry can't be thirteen, he said he's already fourteen!" Ray Manchester exclaimed when Schwoz came back with Henry's latest test results. Earlier in the week, they fought a gang who preferred guns and automatic weaponry to the classic knife fight. One of the gang members got a shot off on Kid Danger and Henry wasn't paying attention to the goon who shot him so he couldn't use his superpower and race away from it on time.

"He didn't want to tell you," Charlotte said as she took her usual place at the computers, to Ray's surprise Jasper nodded. Ray was flabbergasted, he thought Henry would tell him the truth about everything.

"You can't blame him for lying to you Ray - " Jasper began, Ray interrupted him,

"the Kid is thirteen-years-old! I can't believe I let a thirteen-year-old fight crime with me for six months before I found out about it!" Charlotte rolled her eyes at the man,

"you're just being overprotective of him. Henry can make his own choices." Ray shook his head,

"no, no way am I letting anything happen to him again. He's fired, I'm not putting anyone in harm's way again!"

"Am I really fired?" A small voice asked behind him, Ray winced then turned around to face his sidekick. Without his usual superhero uniform, Ray could honestly tell Henry was exhausted, the poor kid looked like he was about to pass out. What right did Ray have to be taking a thirteen-year-old out on the streets with him every night on patrol? "Ray?" Henry asked gaining his attention again, Ray sighed,

"of course not kid, but if you think for a second I'm letting you fight crimes by yourself anymore consider that false." Henry protested,

"Ray, when you thought I was fourteen you trusted me enough to fight Jeff and the Dancing Dunces, why can't you just let it be the same as it's always been." Ray dropped his Captain Man persona, running a hand through his hair due to the stress.

"You're..." He paused for a few seconds, "you're right Henry. I shouldn't judge you just because of your age... How can I know, how can I trust myself  to be able to protect someone who's not even in high school yet?" To his surprise, the thirteen-year-old just laughed before saying,

"trust me Ray, you're the one who trained me trust in those skills." The superhero reluctantly nodded,

"alright then Kid Danger, what do you say we go kick some bad guy butt?" Henry laughed,

"I say it feels goooooood!"
