This is an AU idea that I love, and I've applied it to several of my OTP's before, so... It should be fun writing this. Currently writing it while I listen to Dodie's album, "You", and it's beautiful. Anyways, the idea of this AU is that Roman is a hero and Virgil is a villain. Simple enough. They're not personality traits in this AU.

Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of being a hero who fights evil and looks good doing it. Just imagine... I'll be at the scene, looking stunningly handsome in my hero suit, and I'll see the bad guy, and stare him down with a look that could kill. He would try to mask his fear, and he would take me on, but of course he would be no match for the almighty Roman. I would knock him unconscious with a single blow and bring him back to the hero base for interrogation.
When I turned 18, I was old enough to apply to be a hero. I was stoked... But I didn't know what it took to become one. To be a hero, you have to go through many tests of strength to prove you're worthy to be called a hero, then you live in the hero base and you're paid to go on dangerous missions and take part in the constant battle against the villains.
It was tough, even for me. However, I bravely faced the challenges, and in the end, I finished with a passing score. I was declared a hero, and I bid a heartfelt goodbye to my dads Logan and Patton, and I moved into the hero base.
Heroes train daily, each day another exhausting exercise. Training was nearly impossible to get through, but it was worth it, because it made us stronger and prepared us for the real world, when we would be fighting real villains, and our lives would be at stake.
And you better believe it paid off. I remember my first assignment. I was so stoked to get my first assignment, and I was beyond pleased with myself to be able to return to the hero base with the information on the villains that I had been sent to collect.
That was some time ago. About a year, actually. I've built up a level of trust between me and the hero general, which is priceless, and it certainly pays off. Like, for instance, the day I was assigned my first second level assignment.
Assignments are ranked by level. First level assignments are minor, and are assigned to the newbies who just got out of training. Second level assignments are slightly more important. These include stuff such as finding a specific villain and bringing them to the hero base for interrogation. There are levels past second level, but those are only for really major things.
I was called into the general's office, and I went there immediately, wondering what he could want, and trying not to freak out over it. This was a big deal. I wiped my sweaty palms on my jeans before I walked in.
"Roman." The general's gruff voice said. "Please sit down."
I did so.
"You may be wondering why I called you to my office." He said.
I nodded. "Yes, sir."
"Well, I'll tell ya why, boy. I'm going to give you your next assignment. But this one will be a bit different. See... This one is a second level." He said, watching my reaction.
"A... A second level, sir?" I repeated, shocked and honored.
He nodded. "I could easily assign it to someone else if you don't want it."
"No, sir, I'm honored to take this." I assured him.
"Good. You're going to be after a villain boy who's been giving us a bit of trouble." He pulled out a file and opened it up. It had a picture that looked like it had been taken from a security camera, but I could see the guy in it well. He had chocolate brown hair and fair skin.
