Binge-Watching was originally supposed to be a stand-alone one shot, but I just kept getting ideas and I kept writing them. Fear didn't exist until I was planning part two, and I didn't name him until I was planning part three. Now he is my smol son and I honestly could write a full-length fanfic out of this timeline because I love Fear so much.

Roman stared at his phone screen and sighed. He had tried texting Fear, no reply.
He knew he messed up, and he didn't know what to do.
Roman was still heavily conflicted about Fear, but he was trying. Maybe if he got to know Fear... It would be easier to understand him.
You're replacing Virgil. You even called Fear "Virge" last night... You can't do this, Roman.
Roman bit his lip, and ignored his thoughts. Instead, he went to a certain side's room for help.
"Logan?"
"Come in."
Roman opened the door. "I need help."
"What did you do this time?" Logan looked at him expectantly.
"Wow, you just assumed I did something? That's a little insulting." Roman defended himself.
"So you didn't do something?" Logan asked.
"No, I did something." Roman sighed. "So... Fear sorta came into my room last night and we talked, and... I apologized. I know I've been a little..."
"Close-minded? Cold? Stubborn? Bitchy?"
"Yes. All of those things." Roman nodded reluctantly. "But just as we were finally starting to get along... I might've messed up."
"What did you do?"
"I called him Virge."
Logan raised an eyebrow.
"Dang, Roman."
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to, I wasn't thinking. It's just... These days Virgil's all I've been thinking about, because I still can't get over the feeling that it's my fault, and he... He reminds me of him, Logan." Roman stared at the ground. "I know it's not healthy."
"It's not, but it's not unusual." Logan said. "You can't dwell on the past, Roman. We all miss Virgil, and we'll all need time to recover, but spending all of your time mourning isn't going to help, much less taking it out on the new trait, who did nothing to you."
"You're right." Roman sighed. "Fear's mad. I tried texting him, but he never replied. He's been in his room ever since. I haven't heard from him."
"Roman..." Logan hesitated. "Nevermind."
"Don't 'Nevermind' me. What were you going to say?" Roman pressed.
"Isn't this the exact reason Virgil left?"
~~~
Roman couldn't stop thinking about Logan's comment, and it made him nauseous to think about.
What if his inability to move on and his resentment were what caused Fear to leave? He would have caused Fear to leave over his hurt over Virgil leaving... A sadly ironic ending.
But there was one thought that Roman kept pushing away, denying that he had ever considered it, refusing to own up to it.
He knew what it was, and he didn't want to be like that. Not anymore. He had learned. He was different now.
But if Fear leaves... What if Virgil comes back?
Roman shook the thought out of his head.
