This one shot is going to conclude my Dodie spam, however I love doing song lyric one shots and so I'll definitely be doing more of those in the future. Also I may or may not be doing Logicality just because I feel like I've been writing Prinxiety too much in this one shots book. I need variety.

PS- Just a lil shoutout to my wonderful friend insertpunhere0 because she actually did a Logicality one shot based off of "Dear Happy" a while back in her one shots book, and if you haven't read it, you should, cause it's beautiful.

When Patton first saw Logan at the airport, he didn't think he had ever been happier, and that's saying something.

"Logan!" Patton ran up to him and wrapped him in a hug.

"Hello, Patton." Logan smiled at his boyfriend warmly.

"Oh lord, Logan, I've missed you so much." Patton said.

"I've missed you, too, Patton." Logan said. "But I'm here now."

Logan moved away from home months ago. He left behind lots... and with it, his long-term boyfriend, Patton.

When Logan had left, neither had wanted to call quits on their relationship, so they maintained a long-distance relationship. Late night texting and video chats became their thing. When Logan revealed that he was going to take a short trip to Gainesville, Patton was stoked. He would see his boyfriend again. For a couple of days, it would be back to kisses and cuddles and coffee dates.

"How long are you in the area?" Patton asked.

"Four days. Then unfortunately, I have to go back." Logan said.

"Then we'll make the most out of those four days." Patton said. "C'mon, let's get going. We've sorta just been standing in the airport."

Logan nodded. "You're right. Let's go."

He picked up his suitcase and, fingers locked with Patton's, walked out.

The last night of Logan's stay came fast.

Logan spent it at Patton's. They were on the couch, legs intertwined and Patton's cheek resting on Logan's shoulder. They were talking to each other innocently, catching up, laughing at each other's jokes, cherishing the feel of the other's presence, because it had just been too long.

Logan went on about a book that he had read on the flight. Patton paid attention intently. He was just glad to have Logan back, if only for tonight.

Patton placed a soft kiss on Logan's jawline.

Logan smiled at Patton warmly. He draped his arm over Patton's chest.

"I love you so much." Patton said.

"I love you too, Patton." Logan returned.

"It's too bad that you have to leave tomorrow. I'll go right back to missing you." Patton looked at Logan with seriousness. "I don't want to say goodbye again, Logan."

"Don't focus on that. I'm here for tonight." Logan said.

Patton nodded, but he couldn't shake the dread of having to lose Logan again. Was it a good idea to reunite if it was only going to end with another goodbye?

I missed you dearly

Thought I was nearly there forever

At last, together

Is our time fleeting

Is even meeting a healthy idea

Or am I getting too near

Don't try to fight it

You're/I'm here for tonight

And I'll be waiting for you

Until we meet again

I know it's scary

But don't be wary

If we don't have that long

Let's not waste it feeling wrong

This isn't the end

I'm your lifelong friend

Sure it's been a while

But I'll be here when you smile

So don't try to fight it

You're/I'm here for tonight

And I'll be waiting for you

Until we meet again

They had tonight. And maybe tonight was enough. Tonight was a time to cherish the time they had together before it was over.

Would you mind staying?

It's getting late, but I will visit you soon

So just try to get through

And don't try to fight it

You're/I'm here for tonight

And I'll be waiting for you

Until we meet again

I'll be waiting for you

Until we meet again

"Are you sure you can't stay?" Patton asked.

Logan met Patton's eyes and smiled. "Maybe I can stay a little bit longer."

Patton returned Logan's smile. "Good."
