It was my birthday today... oh no wait! It was me and my Genie's birthday today. I turned 23 and Genie turned 3.
"Daddy! Blow the candles!"
"No Genie. You blow the candles"
"...Okay!" Genie blew the big blue candles' flames away. She was so happy. I was so happy. Especially at present time!
Genie got the whole plush set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And I got a 'Worlds Best Dad' cup AND a new car. Gotta a convertible. Fuck yeah!!!
- The Next Day -
Me and Phil were going on and on about my name. I mean, yea okay it's kinda long. Peter Hernandez. We're changing it so when I'm writing music, people won't have to keep calling me by my long, full name.
But, how can I pick a stage name? I'm not good at name calling..... See what I did there :3
Anyway.... while me and Phil are constantly going on and on about my new name, Genie's watching some educational video on TV. It's about planets.
"(Funny voice-preferably Barney's voice) Hey kids! We're going to talk about the Solar System! It's made up of 9 planets. Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Can you point to the planet Mars??"
Genie starts laughing and starts pointing at the screen. "Mars!!! Daddy. Mars!!!!" I look at the screen. "Hmm, Mars." Phil laughed "Your daughter's a good name caller"
I shove him. Phil laughs harder. Then I just started thinking about that wrestler I like. Bruno Sammartino. "Bruno Mars" I said. Phil looked at me "Bruno Mars.... I can live with that"
I went to Genie and scooped her up. Her laugh's like a bunch of little bells ringing all at once. I poked her dimples and she poked mine. "Thanks to you, my names Bruno Mars. Genie Mars!!"
Genie giggles and looks at my face. "Daddy Mars!!!"
I felt my face brighten up. "Yeah Genie. I'm Daddy Mars"
*Ain't that cute. I read this to my sister and she started going Awww. Gotta love her! I'll update Saturday! Comment, Vote. You know the drill!!!
