Chapter 31

* Bruno's POV *

Ugh, my head. What happened last night??

I look to my left and see Natalie, her exposed body pressing against mine. I felt sick. I stood up and ran to the bathroom, throwing my guts out.

"Bruno?" I hear Natalie calling me. "Hold on Natalie." I wrap myself in a towel and opened the bathroom door. Natalie was all wrapped up in a blanket. She looked worried.

"You okay?" I shook my head. "No, sorry Natalie but, I don't..."

"Want to be in a relationship?" Natalie butted in. I nod. "Yeah, I have too much on the palm of my hand Natalie. I'm not ready to be in one yet. And besides you deserve better"

Natalie chuckled. "I guess. I'm sorry Bruno, about last night." I go to her. "It's okay, let's just forget about this, alright?"

"Okay"

- A few days later -

"Ladies and Gentlemen!!! Are you ready to see the next best singer?.... I can't hear you!?!... Thats better!! Give a round of applause for Bruno Mars!"

Wow the principal really wants the 20%. I look at Genie. "I'm nervous sweetie" She laughed. "Don't be daddy! Just pretend your singing to a million me's!!!" I give her a hug. "Thanks Genie"

She gave me a thumbs up and I went running down the stage. "What's up everybody!?" Everyone was cheering and some of the teachers were like "OMG it's Genevieve's dad!!"

I look at my band. "I think it's time to get these people up and groovin!"

* Genie's POV *

My dad started singing Runaway Baby. I was jumping up and down and singing along. I was looking around for Mr. Chuck. He's sitting on the bleachers, looking at the crowd.

He doesn't look happy.

Then my dad started to sing I Was Only Dancing. Everyone sang along to it. I was so happy my song got everyone happy :)

I look at Natalie, she was talking on the phone. Since she's next to me, I heard her conversation.

"Ese maldito Bruno Mars! El está haciéndolo más difícil para mí agarrar Genie!.... si señor tengo paciencia, pero me esta costando mucho tiempo.... si... entiendo señor... adiós.... Genie were you listening to me?"

"Kinda.... I don't understand but you were talking about my daddy"

"...yes Genie. I was, my boss wanted to learn about him.... He wants to give him a vacation in Mexico"

"Mexico?! I've heard of it before. Is it pretty?"

"Very pretty Genie. My boss wants to take you and Bruno there."

I stand up and give her a hug. "Wow, I can go to Mexico?! I can't wait!!"

Natalie laughed. It sounded a bit creepy. "Neither can I"

I won't be able to update these next two weeks because I'm going on a road trip and there's a chance I won't be near wifi. But if there is, I'll try to update okay?

But there's a chance I won't be able to though.
