Chapter 30

* Bruno's POV *

When we finished eating, Natalie tried to leave.

"Bruno I have to go. I'll be by your place soon."

"No Natalie, I'll drive you to your place. Genie, I'm taking you to Uncle Phil for a while okay?"

"Okay daddy."

Natalie looked nervous. "Bruno, I don't know."

"I promise I won't do anything okay?"

"...okay"

We got in my car and drove to Phil's place. I rang the bell and his girlfriend showed up.

"Hey Bruno"

"Hey... I forgot your name"

She laughed. "Yeah you always do. You leaving Genie with us?"

"Yeah for awhile. Helping a friend of ours out with a move in."

"Okay Bruno, you got her meds?"

"Yep. Here you go"

"Thanks. Well come on in Genie! Phil's there playing Pac-Man"

Genie ran in the house without saying goodbye. I laugh. "Well, I'll see you guys later."

"Alright Bruno. Bye"

"Bye"

I get in the car and drove to the address Natalie gave me. I know this place, it's not that far from my apartment.

We got in her room and I turned on the lights. She keeps things tidy. "Wow" I said. "Really neat in here." she laughs. "Yeah, well, I don't like a messy room" I smirk. "Me neither. So what do I grab first?"

She gives me a luggage. "This'll do"

I grab it. "Dang, this thing's heavy!" She laughs. "Come on Bruno! You saying I'm stronger than you?" I felt my face turn red. "Now now, I didn't say that." I hold it up. "See? Not heavy enough."

She snickered.

I'm about to walk out and I tripped on something, fell, and landed on top of Natalie.

She yelps out. "Bruno! What the hell?!"

I turn red. "Sorry Natalie. But..."

"What?"

"Interesting position we're in no?"

"Bruno... your nasty! Get off of me."

She shoves me away. I get up and grab the luggage. "Okay, my bad on that. I'll be right back"

I leave to put the luggage I have in the car. When I came back, Natalie was on the bed, holding a picture frame. She had tears in her eyes. "Natalie? What's wrong?"

She looked at me. "This was my father. Hard working man. Made some decisions that could've cost him his life. But he did it to try and help me and my family.... then" She started bawling out.

I went to her and gave her a hug. I caressed her head slowly. "It's okay Natalie. You can cry all you want. I'm here." She embraced me and hugged me back. She started saying a bunch of words in Spanish, I think she's cursing. They don't sound pleasant.

She held her head up toward me. "I'm sorry, I don't like crying in front of a man." I chuckle. "Well, I don't mind seeing a woman cry. If I can comfort her." She started at me, looking dazed. "You know... Bruno"

"What?"

"I'd like that comfort now"

She leaned forward, her lips about an inch away from mine. "Natalie... I'm not sure..."

She kissed me. I felt a sudden rush. It's been so long since something like this happened to me. I can't believe it's happening. I missed this rush of excitement.

I pulled her closer to me, moving her under me so we're back in that same position. I felt her tongue sliding against my teeth, begging to be let in. I allowed it.

She moved her tongue in my mouth. I felt something sweet on my tongue. I swallowed the sweetness.

The last thing I remember was Natalie's laughter. Her dark, sexy laughter.
