Annabelle's POV

.

"Hello Liam." I said to him as he walked up to me.

"Hey! How are you?"

"Good, so what are you going to do now that you can't see me over Easter break?" I said while giving him a playful shove.

"Maybe you could come over one day?" He said in a hopeful tone.

"Honestly, I don't think Spencer would like that very much."

"Why? Does he not like me?"

"You walk me home everyday Liam.

"So he's jealous?"

"I wouldn't say jealous, but something like that."

"Well then I'll miss you."

.

I had just gotten home from another beating from Spencer, I was so tired, mentally and physically. It's like it was a game to him. He would ask me where it was okay for him to hit me and the worst part was I would actually respond. We finally agreed that from the breasts down to where my shortest pair of shorts came was fair game. Not the arms, face, and most of my legs. It was sick now that I thought about it. I basically told him it was okay for him to abuse me. It wasn't okay and I wasn't sure why I hadn't tried to break up with him. I suddenly heard my phone ring. I picked it up and it popped up with Liam's number.

Liam's POV

.

"Hello?"

"Hey Annabel- I mean Anna, um how's it going?" Gosh I sounded terrible. I guess I was actually kind of nervous about calling her.

"Good, how are you?"

"Better now." I accidentally said. She started to laugh. Her laugh was beautiful and I thought about listening to it all day.

"I like your laugh."

"Are you kidding me!? It's the worst laugh in the history of laughter."

"In the history? I don't know... I've heard some pretty bad laughs." She began laughing again. I smiled to myself and cleared my throat.

"So uh I was wondering if you had any plans tonight?"

"Not so far no."

"Well I was wondering if you wanted to hang out? I know you said Spencer wouldn't like it, but we'd hang out just as friends, I promise." I suddenly noticed how fast my heart was beating.

"Well what would we do?"

"Whatever you want. Go see a movie, get pizza, play video games, go to the park. Anything your heart desires." I could feel her hesitation through the line.

"If you don't want to, I understand. I just wanted to hang out just as friends."

"Just as friends?"

"Just as friends."

"Alright... Sounds fun!"

"Really!? I mean uh yeah okay I'll pick you up at 7?"

"Sounds good." She said while trying to stifle her laugh.

"See you then?"

"See you then."
