Liam's POV

.

I didn't know what to do with myself. Annabelle Jacobson was gone out of my life. It literally pained me to see her in the hallways at school and see her walk home by herself made me explode. I wanted to run up to her and say that everything was going to be alright and that I didn't need protection, but I couldn't. I missed her lips and her kind smile. I missed the way my heart would flutter every time I made her laugh. I missed everything about her.

Annabelle's POV

.

"What's going on Annabelle?" Spencer asked me as we sat on his couch.

"Nothing. I'm just tired." It was only half a lie. I was tired, but not just tired. I was missing Liam. I couldn't sleep and I was exhausted. I wanted him to hold me in his arms again and I wanted to hear him say I love you again. Next time I would say it back, but there would be no next time. Liam was moving at the end of June and never coming back. He would move on and I would be stuck here in a bottomless bit of horror and fear. I had to protect Liam though. I had to. Spencer would've killed him, literally and I couldn't let that happen.

"Yoo-hoo? Annabelle?" Spencer said as he waved a hand in front of my face.

"Sorry. I was zoning out. Like I said, I'm just a little tired." I said giving a fake yawn. I wanted to leave so badly and go home to be by myself, but I had to wait for Spencer to "give me the commend" so I could leave.

"You can nap over here." He said. Which basically meant, 'You go take a nap or I beat you. Your choice.' I was to tired for a beating so I grabbed a blanket and tried to snuggle up to him the best I could. He smelled liked he hadn't showered in days and I didn't like to snuggle with him. I liked to snuggle with Liam and only Liam. I closed my eyes as he said,

"I love you, Annabelle." I pretended like I was sleeping so I didn't have to say it back. In return he slapped me across the cheek.

"I-I love you too, Spencer."
