Annabelle's POV
.
After school I went home with Spencer. He didn't work that day and I was a nervous wreck. What was I going to say about Liam? What was Spencer going to say about it? Spencer really hadn't said anything since the fight. I looked over at him as he drove us over to his house. His nose had finally stopped bleeding, but that was the only injury really. We pulled up to his house and I followed him up his front steps. He opened the door and I took a good look at the outside world. I didn't know if I would be seeing it ever again.
"Spencer? Are you alright?" I said as he closed the door.
"Yeah, he looked worse then I did so I think I won." He said chuckling.
"I'm glad you're okay." I said before we sat down on the couch.
"Thanks for uh... Thanks for getting him to stop." His words were strange to me. Spencer was trying to actually thank me.
"You know I would've." I said, looking up at him. He almost looked childish.
"Annabelle, can I ask you something?"
"Anything." I said with a smile. I actually felt kind've bad for pretending to love him. Maybe he was going to change. Maybe this fight was a good thing. He took my hands into his before saying,
"Now I've been thinking about this for awhile..."
"Okay?"
"And I think we should get married." I didn't think I heard him right.
"Married?"
"Yeah. I mean we could get a nice house and we could move where ever we wanted." I was in complete shock.
"Spencer, we can't get married."
"Why not?"
"Spencer. I... I'm only 16 and you're only 18."
"I know, but I figured it'll happen eventually so why not now?"
"Spencer, I... We can't get married right now. I'm sorry." Spencer face was turning back into it's normal self.
"You always make everything so difficult Annabelle!" He yelled at me.
"Me? I'm making this difficult? Could you even begin to support yourself and me? What about a family? Spencer, it's a crazy idea. I don't want to be married and in high school." I could tell I was making him upset, but I didn't care. He was like a ticking time bomb and I was just waiting for the explosion. It finally came. It started with a blow to the head with his fist. Then, he grabbed me off of the couch and slammed me into the hardwood floors of the living room. The sad part was I didn't even try to stop him. I just laid there on the floor while he punched me. Finally he stopped and I got up to leave. My face was dripping with blood, but I didn't care.
"Uh Annabelle?"
"Yeah?" I asked with my hand on the doorknob.
"Tell Liam I said hi. I know you're going to see him." I became extremely scared. I looked over at Spencer's face, he had a smirk on it.
