Annabelle's POV
.
"Can I at least walk you to that corner?" Liam asked, while pointing to a corner a few blocks down.
"Liam, I have to go to Spencer's."
"Yeah, so I just wanna walk you to that corner. Pretty please?" He asked as he put out his bottom lip and gave me a sad look. I began laughing. He reminded me of a child being upset because their mom wouldn't let them go get ice cream.
"Alright fine."
"Thank you Annabelle Jacobson!" He said with the biggest smile on his face.
"You're being quite silly today, yet rather dashing with the whole closet thing."
"So you liked that?"
"Just a little." I said, giving him a wink.
"We could do that everyday." He whispered into my ear. I began to blush before saying,
"I can't be late for fifth period everyday." He began to laugh.
"You're adorable Annabelle Jacobson."
"It's cloudy out today. Do you think it'll rain?" I asked, changing the subject.
"Maybe. They kinda actually look like tornado clouds."
"Don't say that! Tornados freak me out!" As if on cue, the tornado sirens began blasting an awful sound that made me terrified. Liam, of course, began to laugh.
"It's not funny." I said, slapping his arm.
"Alright, alright. Hey! Now you can come over!" His face lit up.
"Huh, I guess you're right. Spencer's apartment dosen't have a basement, but what if he gets upset I didn't show up?"
"C'mon Annabelle. He can't blame you for the weather." It was getting darker now and the wind suddenly started to pick up.
"You're taking to long to decide." Liam said. He suddenly picked me up and flung me over his shoulder. I began laughing as he began to run to his house. He continued to carry me until we got into his basement. He finally set me down on a couch.
"You're cute when you laugh." He said, climbing onto the couch. He hovered over me for a moment before kissing me. He continued to kiss me until we ran out of breath. He reseted his head on my chest as we both breathed heavily.
"I can hear your heart beat." He whispered. I smiled as I slowly ran my fingers through his hair.
"Two make out scenes in one day? I could get use to this." I said while chuckling. Suddenly something smashed into one of the windows. I jumped and let out a little yelp.
"Not to be rude, but I forgot about the tornado. Shouldn't we get somewhere where it's safer?" I asked, paranoid.
"Yeah. We can go under the stairs." He got up and grabbed a blanket and laid it out on the floor. He then came back over to the couch and picked me up, carried me over to the blanket under the stairs, and set me down. He grabbed another blanket and sat down beside me. I pulled my cardigan off and threw it onto the floor. He pulled me closer to him and wrapped the blanket around us as I snuggled into his chest.
"Thank you, Liam" I whispered.
"For what?" He whispered back.
"For making me feel safe and protecting me."
"I'll always protect you, Annabelle." He said, kissing the top of my head. He lifted my chin up before whispering, "Always." Against my lips before kissing me.
