Annabelle's POV
.
I knocked on Spencer's door three times before going in.
"Spencer?"
"In here."
"I'm sorry, Spencer. I had just gotten outside of the school building when the sirens went off. I ran to my house and went into my basement." I said, walking into the living room.
"You could've at least called."
"I tried, but the wind must've knocked over a tower or something. I didn't have service." I lied.
"Whatever." He said, not even looking at me.
"Whatcha watching?" I asked as I sat down beside him. He put his arm around me before saying,
"Ridiculousness." He looked tired, almost sad actually.
"Do you need me to make you anything? I'm starving." I got up and went into the kitchen. I opened the fridge and got out some jelly. I went over to one of the cabinets to get peanut butter and bread out.
"Do you want a pb and j?" I asked as I got a butter knife out of the drawer.
"Spencer?" I listened for a reply. There wasn't one. I looked out into the living room to see Spencer with blood shot eyes and tears streaming down his face.
"What's wrong?" I asked, actually concerned for him.
"How could you?" He asked.
"How could I what?"
"You're cheating on me!" He yelled.
"What are you talking about?"
"You're cheating on me with British pants!" I could feel my face suddenly get hot.
"Where did you get an idea like that?" I tried to get my emotions under control. I could feel myself failing.
"Pictures don't lie, Annabelle!" He quickly got up and started rummaging through a drawer. He pulled out an envelope and threw it at me. I picked it up and slipped out the photos of Liam and I kissing on his front porch.
"Spencer, I'm sorry." I said as I tried to keep calm. I wasn't scared that he knew, I was scared what he was going to do about it.
"You lied to me! You kissed another man!"
"I'm sorry Spencer." Was all I could say.
"Sorry isn't enough this time Annabelle." He quickly ran over to me and tackled me to the ground. I struggled to fight him off. It was like he had gotten ten times stronger in the past few days. All I could think about was the butter knife sitting on the counter as he began hitting me.
"Why are you fighting me!" Spencer asked as he struggled to beat me. 'All I have to do is get to the counter. It's only a butter knife, but it's better then nothing.' I thought to myself. It was like he had read my mind. He got off of me and went into the living room. I got up and ran to the counter. I grabbed the butter knife and turned around. My face went pale as I saw the thing he was holding, a gun.
"W-what are you doing with t-that?" I asked, scared for my life.
"I got it from a buddy of mine." He said, looking at it with a smile on his face.
"P-please don't hurt me Spencer." I said while tears formed in my eyes.
"I want to hurt you like you hurt me. I gave you everything! And you cheated on me!"
"Beating me is 'everything' to you?" I didn't know why I was fighting back. I knew I shouldn't have, but I did anyway.
"It dosen't matter that I beat you! It matters that you cheated on me!"
"I cheated on you because you beat me!" I yelled. It was a mistake to yell.
"Do you think this is some kind of game? Look at the situation. You have a butter knife and I have a gun. I strongly suggest that you drop it and go sit over there." He said, referring to a wall in the living room.
"No." I said.
"No?"
"N-no."
"That was a pour mistake, Annabelle." With a quick move of his hand he pointed the gun and shot me in the leg. I crumbled to the ground as pain began shooting up my right leg. I let out a scream as tears began to fall down my cheeks.
"Gosh you're weak! Go sit over there!" I dragged my wounded body over to where he was referring.
"Now, how long have you been with Liam?"
"A few weeks after he moved here." I knew that being smart wasn't going to work anymore. I should just answer his questions and hope I get out of here alive. I could feel sweat starting to form on my forehead and blood starting to soak through my jeans.
"Do you like him more then me?"
"S-Spencer, please I-"
"Answer the question Annabelle!"
"Y-yes." My reply came with the butt of his gun jamming into my forehead. A headache started immediately as blood began running down my face.
"Does he know I hurt you?"
"Yes."
"You're an idiot, Annabelle!" I watched him closely as he paced back and forth in front of me. He suddenly stopped and gave me a wide smile.
"He loves you dosen't he?"
"Yes."
"You know that for sure?"
"Yes."
"Call him."
"What?"
"Call him. Tell him you're at my house and you're hurt. He'll come rushing over if he loves you." I knew that's exactly what he would do. He would come over and Spencer would shoot him right in front of me.
"I c-can't."
"Why not?"
"Because I love him too."
"You rather have yourself dead then him." I didn't answer. I knew he knew that he was right.
"This is just too cute Annabelle. I would kill you, but I know you wouldn't care. Now, if I killed Liam you would care. Let's make a deal." He said as he crouched down beside me and looked me straight in the eyes.
"You don't want to be with me anymore correct?"
"C-correct."
"So, all you have to do is get Liam over here and I'll be gone out of your life. All you have to do is make one little phone call." He said as he slid my phone out of my pocket and set it on my uninjured leg.
"No."
"What?"
"I said no." I said through gritted teeth. He responded with pointing the gun at me and digging it into my head.
"Call him!" He yelled through gritted teeth. I shakily picked up my phone and dialed Liam's number.
