Liam's POV
.
Her lips were even better then I had imagined. It felt amazing to hold her in my arms and kiss her. After we kissed for the second time that night, I held her in my arms for what seemed like forever and ran my fingers through her hair.
"Anna?" I asked her as I held her on the couch now.
"Yes Liam?"
"I hate Spencer. Why would he ever do that to you? Why would he cause such a pretty girl so much pain?" I asked her.
"You don't have to answer that. I just wanted to tell you that you were beautiful and that Spencer's a jerk." I added.
"Liam?"
"Yes my beautiful Annabelle?"
"I'm scared." She said putting her hands up to her face.
"Hey hey, it's alright." I said pulling her hands from her face and rubbing them with my thumbs. I turned her so she was facing me. I looked into her eyes as I said,
"I'm never going to let him hurt you ever again. I am going to do everything I can to stop him. I've got something to show ya okay? I'll be right back." I said as I squeezed her hands. I got up and ran quickly to my bedroom. I got my guitar from the corner and ran back to her.
"I didn't know you played guitar?" She said as I sat back down.
"Yeah. Just a little though. I'm gonna play ya a song, alright? So just sit back and listen." I was extremely nervous. I had wanted to play this song since the first day I had figured out that she had a boyfriend. Was I taking all of this to far? What were my real intentions? Was I doing all of this for the right reasons? I quickly decided yes. It was my life goal to now protect her from the dangerous of the world and from Spencer. I began to play the opening chords to 'A Drop in the Ocean,' by: Ron Pope. I picked this song in particular, because first of all it was my favorite song and second, all the lyrics described how I felt about Annabelle. I really truly was "praying that me and her could be together." I began singing and when I did her eyes lit up with joy. When I finished she hugged me.
"Liam, That was beautiful! Is that the song you talked about a few months ago as we walked home?" She asked in awe.
"Yes, yes it is." I said while chuckling.
"You're beautiful." I said suddenly before kissing her again. She pulled back a little too quickly this time. I frowned at her as she said,
"Liam, I want to be with you, but I can't right now..."
"Why not? You can dump Spencer and I'll protect you if he decides he wants you back. I can make you happier Annabelle."
"I know you can Liam, you already have, but none of this is that simple."
"What do you mean?" I asked her, confused.
"I've tried to break up with Spencer in the past, but it hasn't gone well." She said while she shook her head. I wanted to ask her more questions about it, but I knew I shouldn't press forward.
"Okay, so we can't be together right now, but can we eventually?" I asked while I looked at her. I was nervous for her answer. After a few silent seconds she replied with a smile on her face,
"Yes." I was bursting with joy from every inch of my body. I picked her up and swung her around the room with her in my arms. She began laughing as I pulled her closer. She wrapped her legs around my waist and I pulled her in and kissed her.
"You have an amazing laugh." I said as she began laughing again.
"Liam?"
"Yes Anna?" I said as I touched my forehead to hers.
"You're a sweet guy, but like I said we can't date quite yet and not dating means not kissing. I'm sorry. I'm just so afraid that Spencer would figure out somehow and then..." She didn't finish her sentence. Something was bugging her, but I could tell she was not ready to talk about it.
"I understand." I said while giving her a reassuring smile.
"You're incredible Liam Payne." She said while smiling.
"And you're also incredible Annabelle Jacobson." I said as I set her down and wrapped my arms around her.
