Annabelle's POV

.

"Gosh! You need to cheer up!"

"I-I'm sorry, Spencer."

"What's wrong with you lately? You're so depressed. It's annoying!" He said, slapping me. I had bruises all over my body. Now that school was out Spencer really let loose. I was over at his house from the crack of dawn to sundown so my parents wouldn't see my bruises. Not that my parents would even notice, they were both away on business trips right now and when they did finally come home they were usually off again within days.

"I just m-miss my parents." I lied, but in reality it was Liam who I was missing. He was gone, out of my life forever. I didn't know what I was doing at the time I said goodbye. He was protecting me and it was like Spencer knew it too. The beatings had gotten worse and he kept an eye on me at all times.

"Oh please! Get over yourself! You have me remember? Now go make supper and make it quick!"

Liam's POV

.

"LIAM! LIAM! LIAM!" I heard in a blood curdling scream.

"Annabelle! Where are you?" I screamed from the top of my lungs. I opened a door to the nearest room and saw someone standing in it. I marched up to them and spun them around.

"Where is she, Spencer!"

"You'll never find her. You left her here with me." He said before he started laughing.

"LIAM! PLEASE!" She screamed.

"Where is she!" I said, grabbing him by his shirt collar. He suddenly started to melt and then evaporated into thin air. I woke up suddenly and was breathing heavily.

"I thought I was done with these dreams!" I shouted into my hands.

.

"Liam? Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine." I was sitting across from Jessica in her apartment on a cool August evening having dinner with her.

"Are you sure? You don't look very well."

"I'm fine." We had had a few dates here and there, but nothing really special. She was nothing compared to Annabelle and I realized that after I started having the dreams again. I missed her so much.

"What's her name?"

"What?"

"I said, what's her name? I know that look. You're thinking of someone else and I'm assuming it's a girl."

"Annabelle Jacobson."

"And who is this Annabelle Jacobson?"

"She's the best girl in the world." I said, smiling.

"No offense." I added.

"None taken." She said laughing before adding,

"And she made you happy I assume?"

"Very."

"Is this the girl you thought you saw when we first met?"

"Yes it is."

"So I look like her?"

"Yes, except she has blue eyes and you have brown."

"Liam, did you ask me out because I looked like her?"

"Yes, I'm really sorry." I said quietly.

"I'm not mad. I could tell all along that there was someone else. I just didn't know when the best time was to ask you who. Is Annabelle back in America?"

"Yes she is."

"And you love her?" It was a strange question. I hadn't been asked in a long time and I hadn't thought about it in a long time.

"With all my heart." I said.

"Go to her Liam. It sounds like you need her and I'm guessing that she needs you just as much."

"She does. She... she's had a tough life."

"Then what are you doing sitting at my table, go pack!"

"There's just one problem. I can't leave, I'm only 17."

"Well you said your birthday was in August right? Wait until you're 18 and then go."

"You're a genius Jess! Thanks for all of the help. I really appreciate it." I said standing up and giving her a hug. I was going to see my beloved Annabelle again and nothing could stop me.
