Chapter 37

Liam's POV

"Mum? I'm sorry." I said as I sat down next to her on her bed.

"Oh it's just not fair, Liam." She was crying and I felt awful.

"Mum, I have to go back. This isn't just about my love for Annabelle. It's much more."

"Liam, what's going on?"

"Mum you can't tell anyone. This is serious."

"Alright."

"Annabelle is being abused by her boyfriend Spencer." My mum got a sudden look of horror on her face. She immediately stopped crying.

"Liam, I-I had no idea."

"I wasn't suppose to tell anyone. Mum, she needs me and I love her."

"Does she know you love her?"

"Yes."

"Does she love you back?"

"I believe so. What happened was, I started to walk her home everyday." I began to tell my mum everything that had happened with Annabelle and I, the party, her being drugged, the abuse, our little "relationship," and everything in between.

"I feel like absolute rubbish! I told you she was just some "silly girl" and that you had to choose between us. I'm so sorry, Liam."

"It's not your fault, Mum. You didn't know, but now do you understand my urgency?"

"Yes I do. Liam, would you be putting yourself in danger?" I didn't want to lie to my mum, but I had to.

"No. So can I go? I have it all planned out. I'd go back to Georgia, enroll in school, move into our house again, if that's okay of course, get a job, and find Annabelle."

"Would you ever come back?"

"I want to. The UK will always be my home. It'd be a few years though."

"Alright, you can go."

"Really?"

"If there's someone in trouble and I were the only person who knew about it, I would do the same thing, but please be careful, Liam."

"So you're finally taking my advise, yeah?" I was standing at Jessica's door, with suitcase in hand.

"Yes I am. I just wanted to stop by quick and say thank you. You really helped me out."

"It was nothing, Liam. Do me a favor though. Bring Annabelle back here sometime. I want to meet her, she sounds like a lovely person."

"I would love to bring Annabelle back here."

"Liam, your flight's going to leave soon. We better go." My mum said from over my shoulder.

"Thanks again, Jessica. I'll defiantly tell Annabelle about you and bring her back sometime." I quickly gave her a hug and went out to the car.

"Everything that you don't have we will ship to you Liam. It might take some time though."

"That's okay mum. I'm fine with waiting."

"Okay. I love you, Liam."

"I love you too, Mum."

"Be careful out there, son."

"I will, Dad." I quickly hugged them and gave my mum a kiss on the cheek. I walked up to the airport doors and turned around to watch them leave. I waved goodbye before I went into the airport to catch my flight.
