Liam's POV
.
"Mum, Dad... I have something to tell you." We were sitting around our dinner table. My birthday had been yesterday and I needed to tell them I was planning on going back to America.
"What's going on, son?" My dad asked.
"Well as you know my 18th birthday was yesterday..."
"Yes."
"Well I think it's time I move out."
"Liam are you sure you're ready for that?"
"I think so."
"Where would you work and where would you live? Liam I think you're a bit young for that."
"I'd find a job and I'd have to talk to you about the living part."
"What do you mean?"
"Well our other house never sold did it?"
"Of course it did Liam. We've been out of this country for six years."
"No no. Not the house in Wolverhampton. The house in Georgia."
"No not yet. Why would you ask that?"
"Well because that's where I would move to. Back to America. Back to Georgia." The look on my parents faces were terrifying.
"You can't move back to America!"
"C'mon Mum. I'd be alright."
"No! Absolutely not! I'm not letting my only son move to a different country!"
"Mum please! I really want to do this."
"You're mum's right, son. I don't think it's a good idea."
"Dad please! I need to go back to America. I loved it there! I could go back and finish high school and-"
"Liam, I'm sorry, but it's a no."
"What?"
"I said, it's a no."
"It dosen't matter. I'm 18 now."
"Liam you can't be serious!" My mum had tears in her eyes. I felt absolutely terrible.
"Mum I'm sorry. I don't want to do this, but I have to go back."
"Why Liam? Why do you have to go back?"
"Because... Because of..." For some reason I had a hard time telling my mum that I needed to go back for Annabelle. I knew she would say that it was just some girl and it would only be temporary and that I should find a girl here.
"It's that girl isn't it?" It's like my mum had been reading my thoughts.
"Yes." I said with a sigh. There was no sense in lying to her.
"I knew it! Liam you can not move to America for a girl you barely know."
"I know her enough to know that I'm in love with her!" I blurted out.
"Liam you're not in love with her."
"Yes I am. I have to go back to her. I have to."
"Liam. I know you feel all these different emotions, but that dosen't mean you have to fly across the globe to be with someone."
"Mum I'm going and that's final."
"Alright fine, Liam. I didn't want to have to do this, but you leave me no choice. It's either her or us. You pick." My mum said before standing up and going over to my parents bedroom door and slamming it.
