I peer at my ship...I'm surprised that the humans haven't found it yet. They are adventurous and curious beings. Steven is on my shoulder he looks happy. Lapis and Peridot look surprised. Lapis flies Peridot around the ship. It's buried at the moment.
"Lapis can you hold Steven in your hands and Peridot on your back?" I ask her.
"Yeah, why?" She questions.
"It's so that he doesn't get hurt." I tell her. She immediately picks him up and hovers in the air.
"Everyone, hold on to Lapis and don't let go." I tell them. I lift my hands in the air and move the sand, dirt, and rocks in a pile miles away. I see Steven in the corner of my eye with starry eyes. I make the materials turn in to a star shape in the air. Steven gasps.
"So, what are your powers exactly?" Peridot asks me.
"I have many. I have more than the diamonds combined. I was bound to be the next top leader. So, I was competition for Yellow and White. But, they still loved me. One power that I didn't tell them was the healing. I can't remember why I didn't but, I have a feeling that it was important." I answer.
"Wow, what if you fuse with someone that isn't a diamond? Will they gain a power?" Steven asks this time.
"Everyone I fuse with including the diamonds, they will get healing and they won't be able to stay shattered." I look down.
"What's wrong, that's awesome!" Peridot yells.
"It's not. It gets lonely, yeah I got Blue but, I can't spend time with her." I stop moving the landscape.
I put my hands under Lapis. She puts Steven down in my palms. I place him on my shoulders yet again. I lift my hand in the air...the ship gets up in the air. My palanquin stands up and hops over to me.
"Lapis, Peridot and Steven, hurry the main entrance is too far for you guys to walk threw. Get in." I say quickly. They all nod and sit in my palanquin with me. I raise my hand once more. It hops 50 stories high and goes in the ship.
"Whoa..." Steven looks around the tube that surrounds the palanquin.
"Yes, indeed." Peridot gets up and looks around the palanquin.
"I've never had to go in a Diamond ship. This is my first time." Lapis looks down.
"Why not?" I ask.
"Lapis...was trapped in a mirror. So she never got the chance." Steven answers for her.
"Oh. I'm so sorry. Let this be your first time in a diamond ship." I say and pat her shoulder. The tube ends to a large room, the docks.
"I'll be right back." I tell them. I walk off into the halls to find the control room. The place doesn't have a speck of dust, I have to thank Blue for this. She kept her promise. It only takes me a minute. I flip switches and push buttons. I turn the ship on. I spot the communications button. I break it off. This is my new life, the one where gems come free. I start to walk back to the others when I heard a conversation...
"Steven, how do you trust her?" Lapis asks.
"You do know that there are communications on this ship, right?" Peridot tells him.
"I believe her. Why don't you?" Steven asks.
"I was here the last time there was a war on earth, I'm not staying here unless she goes away." Lapis sounds angered.
"Okay, I'll bubble her. But, Blue's troops would help us have the gem kind free what they want to do." Steven says as he turns the corner to find me, in tears.
"You...don't believe me..." I toss the button on the ground. A burst of sadness goes off, but now it's different. Everything is gloomy and blue. Except me. I run to my favorite place in the ship...the memory room. It has pictures of me and the others. I grab a picture with all of us in it. I miss them...White and Yellow. White was a motherly figure. Yellow was a good motherly figure as well. But, Blue and I got into a relationship. I hug the picture, the sadness goes away and a burst of happiness comes. Everything's back to normal colors and emotions. I see Steven pop into the room after 3 hours.
"What do you want?" I turn my back still holding the photo.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. Lapis and Peridot were getting unsure about you." I feel his presence get closer.
"You have no idea what it's like to be forced in a bubble and stay there for 3000 years, Steven. It's worse than what Lapis had to endure. You're just trapped in time. But, I saw more and more bubbles through my gem. And as I healed, the memories hurt more and more. I felt like I was going insane. Steven, what your mother did to me was worse than shattering a gem. She was cruel. Even on the same side. She called made Pearl fall in love with her. Garnet and Bismuth think that war was the answer. She...was defective in a way only I could understand. She was made to rebel, heck all of my court was. No, she was supposed to be the kindest gem known to gem kind." I clenched to the slab of a picture now.
"That picture can I see it?" Steven asks. I nod.
"It was when I was first formed. The gems that made this mural are long gone, the war ended their lives." I told him.
"This is as big as me. It's huge and...beautiful." He looks at it.
"Heh, I remember the first time I opened my eyes on Earth. It was so beautiful...but I was in the ocean because, I took an entire continent off the maps. I felt horrible." I chuckled.
"I felt bad when Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl told me that I took Rose's place." He looked down.
"If it makes you feel better, you are better than her. You have no defects. You're perfect." I touch his cheek. I take the picture and hang it up. I see Steven grew taller, I gave him the reality so he got a bit older. I look at him and laugh.
"Oh my! You're a teenager human-gem!" I lay down laughing. Steven does the same.
"I miss moments like these." Steven says.
"Me too." I speak. We look up at the picture, smiling.
