Steven Universe Pink Diamond LIVES

ChApTeR 2o: ERROR(code.01.exe)

Peridot finally has her stars. I can tell by the way everyone looks at her, that this is an estonishing moment for everyone. I smile, knowing that Peri is making everyone happy with her stars. I lean against the temple wall, whilst everyone is celebrating. This may hold the plans just a day off course, but taking a break isn't so bad. I can't help but to wonder though, "When is Blue gonna arrive?" I mutter to myself. 

"I'm affraid when she does." Lapis flies and lands on my shoulder. I jump a bit, because I honestly wasn't expecting an answer.

"Sorry if I startled you, Pink. I just couldn't help but over hear." Lapis sits on my shoulder. I sigh.

"It's fine, heh, you'd think a diamond wouldn't jump at such a small thing..." I say. Lapis manages a small chuckle.

"I mean you ARE the off-color diamond." Lapis says. I smile a tiny bit. Then there is a silence, not uncomfortable but not good either. After what seems like hours, Lapis speaks.

"I'm sorry for attacking you guys...I just didn't and I still don't want to get caught in a war. Last time I was trapped for thousands of years, this time could be a whole lot worse!" Lapis says to me. I sigh again, I have to convince her to stay. I didn't want to spoil to future for her but, I have to. If she leaves, she'll be shattered. If she stays, she'll have better bonds with all of us.

"Lapis, remember when I saw what was gonna happen? Well, if you leave...something bad will happen specifically to you." I mutter. I don't want to sound harsh but, it's a serious matter.

"What?! What would happen?" Lapis asks, worried. 

"You'll be shattered. You'll go to a planet ruled by homeworld, and since everything was so advanced for you and you couldn't do much for them. They thought you were a rebel in disguise, waiting for the right moment to attack. There was no trial because, Blue was here on Earth and Yellow was missing." I look at her dead in the eyes, to let her know I was serious. She gulps.

"I-I don't want to die, I can't. Peri and Steven need me alive and well." Lapis says to herself.

"No, we ALL need you. Lapis, you are unique. Not just any Lapis would pull through what you've been through. You're strong." I say to her. She turns to me.

"Thanks, Pink. You've helped me with my decision. I'm here to stay, on the Earth!" Lapis says making a fist. I smile.

"Go on and celebrate with everyone. Tell them about your choice to stay." I tell her. She waves goodbye and flies down to the ground. I close my eyes, and then I sigh. Tonight is a beautiful night. I open my eyes again, but I am not at the temple anymore. I'm at my palankeen, it's also daytime. There is smoke in the air, and lots of metal that are clashing, at least the sounds of metal clashing. I remember this day. This was the war, the time I got shattered. I was forced to walk out of the palankeen then, Rose stabbed me from behind. I look at my stomach, where my gem once was. My gem crumbles to the ground, I am still. My light form begins to crack and light evades from those cracks. I try to speak, to tell everyone I was going to be okay but,

"!yako eb ot gniog m'I" My words are staticy and reversed. Pinkie cries, and covers her mouth. Rose smirks. Jasper widens her eyes for what she is seeing. Everything is in slow motion, I feel my form fade and tear apart. A scream of agony fills the air, it's my scream.  It of course sounds as if I'm a corrupted gem that's crying. My voice gives out, meaning my gem is finally losing its power to hold this horrible and terrible form. I stare at my stomach, again there is a hole there. I look at my hands, they are gone. I look along the sea of soldiers that would've done my every command, if I was a fighter like Yellow. At this point in time I can not feel the pain anymore, even if this moment was only a few seconds long. My gem remembers it far too well. I close my eyes, and reopen them again. I am back. I am still leaning against the temple wall. What in the galaxy was that? Did I space out? Or is this a sign of something much worse. A thought comes to me, something I learned a while back...only a diamond can shatter another diamond. Scratching is common for me from other gems because I am an off-color. But, I should work the same way for shattering. If that is true, that means...Yellow, Blue, or White are suspects. Why would the real answer matter now? It's obvious, whoever shattered me wanted me gone. Meaning, she'd eventually attack the others to take over. But, did she know what she was getting into?  Especially with the other diamonds...

This revision is better than the last one, that's for sure. But, now time for the actual hiatus...I'm sorry for it though. You just know how it is when you have no inspiration for something. It takes awhile to come back to you, I promise...that when I have it back, I will have a better chapter with the arrival of other people and the reveal of something...huge.
