I sit upon the cliff, looking out on the sea. It's quite lovely here, Earth. I like this spot in general. It would make a great thinking spot. That was indeed what I came here to do, think.
Pinkie- My Pearl, Pink Pearl. One of my first friends. She was loyal, though I told her that she's her own gem.
Peri: Peridot, she is a friend of Steven's. She has a huge capability to be a large threat to Homeworld.
Lapis: Lapis Lazuli, she's another friend of Steven's. She is a very powerful gem, but she's been damaged by her past. She is unstable, but sometimes, that's a good thing in battle.
These three gems, have something in common. They're missing, it's like they just vanished. One minute they were in battle, the next they're gone. Where could they be? Did Lapis flee Earth with whoever wanted to come? Or did they go to a different place on Earth? Wherever they are, they're going to cause heartache.
"Mom?" Steven says. I jump a little at the sudden sound. I turn around to find Steven walking up to me.
"Hey, Steven. What are you up to?" I ask, looking back at the sea.
"I was just checking on you, there seems to be something on your mind..." Steven sits next to me. I sigh.
"Have you noticed something with our gems?" I respond.
"No, why?" Steven questions.
"Three gems are missing. I'm afraid something bad might've happened to them." I look into Steven's eyes. He gasps at the sudden news. After a few minutes Steven speaks.
"Who's missing?" He interrogates.
"Lapis, Peri, and Pinkie." I try to keep my composure. Steven lays his head on my thigh. We stay like that for a while, looking at the setting sun. I hear sniffles from him, and I gently pat his back with my pointer finger.
"We'll find them, don't worry." I reassure.
"I hope so...they're good gems. They can't...they can't stay gone forever." Steven stands up, wiping his tears. I nod to his statement. He turns to walk back to the beach house, but then stops. He turns to me.
"Thanks Mom." He smiles, then he turns back and walks away. I slightly smile. But, it fades. I turn to the newly shown stars. I begin to hope for the best.
