This School Is Insane!

Max🐾

I'm a normal kid. Normal kid, with a normal name, and a normal life. I've had a normal childhood.

I had friends in my neighborhood who would play soccer with me. I was always the star player. Then, in middle school, we joined the team. The coach favored me then, too. We won all the games until semi-final, when I got sick and could not play under any circumstances. Our coach struck out, and my friends didn't have confidence with me not there.

Our last game in eighth grade, and our winning the finals, initiated my retirement from school soccer games.

Now, in high school, I can just relax. The things I used to have to worry about:

-Being Popular

-Getting a Girlfriend

-Making Friends

Those things, are all checked. I am very popular, not the most popular guy in school, that title belongs to Terry Molse, but I'm still  pretty popular.

Getting a girlfriend, is also checked because I'd like to think I'm a cool guy. Girls have been following me around lately, as if I had a magnet pulling them around everywhere I go.

And finally, making friends. There hasn't been a new person in our class since 6th grade, which is when we were all the new kids, meeting each other for the first time, but everyone has their own place by now.

Nothing has to change. And nothing will. I'm currently interested in this girl named Melissa Fort. She is so hot. Her firey red hair can hyptonize anyone in a matter of seconds. The same thing happens if she smiles at you. This year, the freshmen end of school dance is supposed to be one of the best parties they give the students, which is an occasion to ask somebody on a date. And to make sure I get it, I'm going to start now, at the very beginning.

I am planning this super ahead of time for some reason. I like this girl, but I can't lose my cool.

My mom is giddy about this type of matter. She always tells me the story of when she and my father met. She has even tried to tell it at the cementary to try to keep a straight face, but she ends up breaking into tears instead.

My father passed away in a car crash. Some stupid idiot, passed his stop sign and hit the car on the side my dad was sitting in. We thought he had fainted, but I guess we couldn't be that lucky. I was about 6 when that happened. I was sleeping in my room, and then my mother came in, sobbing and told me the news.

Oh, wait, they sent me an email from school. It says that it's important that all of us read this.
It read:

Dear Freshmen Student,

Your school is sending you this e-mail because there are important matters to address before school starts, now that it's been confirmed the we are getting a new student in your class this year.

What?! I just said- how could they do this?

We need all of you to be especially nice to this girl, and there is a reason for that.

Her name is Clover Ucare and she is blind.

The new student is blind?! This doesn't make any sense! The school shouldn't accept this girl! This school is insane!

We will need volunteers to help her get used to the school. You can volunteer by emailing us and we will give you the date for a meeting. Thank you for your time.

So, this is the worst news I've ever gotten.

She's a freak! But, why would she come to school now? For highschool? And why this one?

There has to be a reason for that, and I think it's just that, she must live close to it. She must live only a few blocks away.

You'd think that they would homeschool a kid like that, which is also something I don't get. Why not homeschool her?

Volunteer to help a blind girl? Yeah right! You wouldn't catch me there dead. I bet she's ugly and awkward. But, Clover is a pretty nice name. Can't argue that.

I bet only really sappy girls are gonna go to that meeting. Girls like Katy Hopher. She is the perkiest girl in school, and she loves everything and everyone.

She is actually one of Melissa's best friends, which means, I have no choice but to be nice to her, even though she can get really annoying at times.

I wonder when the meeting is though? School is right around the corner, they can't expect people to take their last days of summer, and hand them to some new girl.

The next day:

Thank you for all the students that want to volunteer. It will mean so much to Clover. We still cannot believe how, so many of you are willing to spend your time to help this girl.

Thank you wonderful students!

This is just infuriating! How many students could've possibly e-mailed them? I need to check. If their so happy, they must have the number on the website.

137!

My class only has about 200 students. More than half my class wants to volunteer to help this girl! What is going on?

Has people's priorities been switched? Teenagers are selfish annoyed people. Not caring and kind!

I wonder if Melissa wants to do it too. She wouldn't. Would she? No. What if she asks me if I did it when school starts? If she is doing it, and I don't, she'll think that I'm a selfish jerk! I have to do it.

There. Done with that. That is probably the cringiest thing I have ever written, but they need to let me go to the reunion now.

Oh, when I did, they gave me a code, if I imput it in the school codes........... Yup it's this Wednesday at 2:00. That isn't too bad.

Ugh, I just realized I'm stupid, and I made a mistake that I can't take back now. I should've just asked Melissa if she was doing it. Now, if she isn't doing it, I'll be.........Lame.
