Max 🐾

I decided that baking was the best date for me and Clover. Boy, was I right.

"I bet you would've told Terry. Clover this is just me, trying to be a part of your life, just please let me in," I said to her.

She suddenly grabbed my shoulders, making me blush, and if that wasn't enough, she then moved on to my cheeks, and finally, I practically died of a nervous break down as she slowly leaned in and kissed me for practically a full 2 minutes!

She pulls away and I can tell she is unbalanced by the way she clutched my counter.

I could not have been happier, but I was a bit curious about why she had done that.

"Clover? Why did you-" I tried to say.

"I'm sorry, I'm really, really sorry! I don't know what came over me, it was so weird. I'm sorry," she apologized quicky.

"No need to apologize. I won't lie, I was hoping that would happen," I said smugly.

She then says, "I don't know what to do next."

"I do, and I want you to be honest. Tell me your story," I jumped at the opportunity.

"I-I-I... I'll tell you my story."

She told me what she remembered and how she had been homeschooled and why she started going to Fireals.
I enjoyed that moment and then she asked.

"Max?"

"Yeah?"

"What is, love... to you?"

"To me?" I asked surprised.

"Yeah, to you."

"Love, to me, its... you," I said with pure honesty. "I love you Clover, I didn't even know I could love, but I'm sure of it with you."

"Y-you do?"

I nodded. I quickly realized that she was waiting for answer because she couldn't see me.

"Did you just nod?" She asked.

"Yeah," I admitted. "Sorry, I answered yes."

"I-it's fine, I uh, well, I, I really like you too," she said quietly.

I smiled to myself. I put my arm around her and played some music on my small speaker.

I played a slow song.

"C'mon," I said taking her hand.

"Oh, I, don't-" she began to say

"Out of all the skills you've learned to do, your mom never taught you to dance?"

She bit her lips.

"I'm joking, I'll teach you," I clarified as I lifted her from the couch.

I put her hands around my neck and placed my hands on her waist.

"Here, now, step to the left and then to the right with me."

"Like this?" she said moving her foot to the left carefully. She then moved her right foot next to it.

"Yup, now, to the right."

She did it well and I moved her along. The dancing seemed to flow in her blood, and I had just awakened it.

I saw her smile when I began to step around in a circle. The song was coming to an end, I knew that, so, I put my right arm around her and leaned her diagonally. She was surprised. I lifted her back up slowly, just as the song came to and end.

We stood there for a second. Then all of a sudden she hugged me overjoyed.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yeah, just, nobody outside of a teacher or my parents had ever tried to teach me something. You just did, and I wanted to say thank you."

"You're really cute, you know that?"

We finished up the cookies, it was no surprise that they were amazing. I was having such a good time, I forgot that Clover was going to leave.

Her mom came for her and she left. My mom heard me washing everything up and she came downstairs to help me.

"How was it? Did you tell her how you feel?"

"Yes, I did, and she was happy. I taught her to dance, and she taught me a cookie recipe."

"That sounds wonderful," she smiled at me.

"It was. I just kinda wish I had more time with her today..."

"Oh, it's fine, I'm sure you'll get more time with her on your next date," she said washing dishes.

"If we have one... I hope we do."

"What was that?"

"Oh, nothing, thinking about food."

"Well then, let's get dinner ready."

"Yeah."

A few days after that, during the last week of our break, Kiki texted everyone, asking them if they wanted to go biking around the park tomorrow. Then she said we could go to eat at whatever place nearby. It was something like this.

Kiki: Heys guys, I thought it would be fun to bike around the park tomorrow. And then maybe we could get a bite to eat? But I'll let you guys pick that out.

Sebastian: Sounds great babe!

Julia: I have to attend something with my mom, sorry cuz. I don't think I can get out of it.

Kiki: Aw really? Your mom is reasonable. Just ask her.

Julia: I don't think I should.

Terry: I'll be there. Just got permission.

Julia: On second thought, maybe I'll go.

Clover: Do rollerblades count?

Kiki: Of course

Clover: I'll be there too

Me: So will I, but I'll just jog

Terry: Same here

Kiki: great we got almost everyone! Meet there around 2.

Then I told my mom and she approved. I didn't know what to expect from tomorrow. I would see Clover again. I knew I would be super nervous. Julia seemed to change her mind after Terry said he'd go. Hopefully she has a crush on him.

I woke up the next day and left to the park in my sports clothes a few minutes before it was 2.

I got there and Kiki and Sebastian were there with their bikes. I saw Terry there in similar clothes as me. Then Clover was leaning against a tree with her skates on. She was wearing picture above.

I tried to ignore the outfit because I didn't want to blush.

We all greeted each other. Yes, all of us, even me and Terry. I decided to stretch a bit before we left. I noticed that Julia was there, and she was in skates just like Clover. She was standing near Terry. I knew Kiki and Sebastian would probably go on together. Hopefully the fact that me and Terry were jogging didn't mean we would go at the same pace. Maybe I could impress Clover by running fast enough to keep up with her and Julia, who was going to keep her safe.

This place was surprisingly flat, so she shouldn't have much problems.

Clover and Julia talked and then Julia stayed behind.

"Clover is leaving by herself?" Terry asked for both of us.

"I offered to accompany her, but she said no. I insisted and then she said not to worry about it and took off before I could say more," Julia said.

"Oh, okay I guess. I'll keep and eye on her," I said quickly. I began to jog to keep Terry from taking my job.

To keep Terry away from her.
