Can I just say, I didn't even think I'd get two reads. I just looked at my phone and saw 26 reads? And I'm like "I checked this like two hours ago, it had seven reads." So, thank you so much even if you're just reading one part and then never coming back here again. Be sure to check out my other two stories and vote in them! Enjoy today's chapter!

I walked to class quickly with Kiki, who didn't stop talking about Terry. I sat down in the back seat just like I had planned, because I didn't need to be up front to listen, or see. Kiki sat in front of me and whispered, "You'll be fine."

Suddenly, I heard chairs being pushed back and clapping filled the room. I didn't figure out what was going on until I heard, "Yeah! Terry!"

I heard Kiki clap but she didn't get up like the others did. I didn't do anything but sit there a little confused.

They were treating this kid like he was some kind of ruler. When the applause died down, Terry walked over to the back and took the empty seat next to me.

I felt he was watching me and I bowed my head down.

The class went fine after that. Our teacher didn't mention anything about me and toldnus the supply list that day. It was an Algebra II class so there wasn't much we could do today.

My next class went smoothly too. It was my French class. I left the class and Kiki took me to lunch. We made the line and sat at a table with some of Kiki's friends.

I met somebody named Daisy, and another girl named Erin. I didn't talk much throughout lunch and told Kiki I would go explore the rest of the school.

She told she would go with me and took me to what she said was the old middle school building. We entered and Kiki said she would show me her old homeroom.

As we got closer to it, I began to hear voices in a classroom. It was Max's voice along with another girl's voice that I didn't recognize.

"What's wrong Max?" the girl said.

"Nothing is wrong. Everything is just right." Max finished the conversation and then there was no more talking.
Kiki didn't move. I leaned a little closer to the wall and kissing filled the silence.

It shocked me at first but then I just walked away with Kiki following me. It felt like a scary game if hide and seek.

"Oh my gosh! Finally! Max and Melissa are finally a thing!"

"What? I didn't know that he liked her."

"You know Max? You guys must've really gotten to know each other on that orientation day."

"W-well I mean, not that well, just, he didn't mention it is all."

"Hmmmm...."

I walked away and found the door to exit the building. We left and by that time Kiki said that it would be best if we started going to our Biology class.

The classroom had a different feel to it, intimidating and judgemental. Well, as far as rooms can go into judging. I sat down where Kiki lead me to and was startled by the shouting of two boys in the hallways.

One of them was new to me, the other, it was Terry. I was trying to understand what they were saying, but I was shocked when I heard them talking about a girl with a disability. It had to be me, right?

"I didn't think you would defend her, maybe you just don't want to admit your pity for her," the boy teased.

"I don't have pity! You can just shut up and leave her alone, she is more than what her eyes can or can't see!" Terry replied defensively which made me smile since it was the first time anyone had ever stood up for me.

"Whatever, you're just-" he didn't finish his sentence and walked away. Terry entered the classroom and again took the empty seat next to me. I heard a slight sigh but it wasn't his, I didn't pay much attention to it though. I felt Max walk up and sit at the other side of me.

Class began and it was fine after that. We had one final period, which consisted of A.P. World History. In that class, I had Max and Melissa sit in back of me side by side. I finished the day off fine and Kiki took me to my bus and sat me down comfortably, also letting me know that the bus driver will call me when I need to get off.

I sat in the third row and put on my headphones again to distract myself. A few minutes later, I felt somebody sit next to me.

"Hey, we really need to talk about where you put things," said a familiar voice. It was Max.

I realized we were in the same position as we were in the morning, so I scooted my things over so he had space.

"So, how was your summer?" I asked again just like the morning, but there was nobody to interrupt his answer.

We talked again and I found out that his middle name was Ryan and that his favorite color was Teal. He is apparently from Holland but his parents moved when he was 2 months old.

I got off at my stop and departed from Max. I got my keys and opened the door. I walked inside and felt happy and exhausted at the same time. It was a strange feeling but I was happy that my first day was over and that now I had the whole afternoon to relax and think about what had happened in school.

I honestly didn't know what happened in school today, but I was going to try to organize it in my brain as best I could.
