"Um, Tori? What was that," her dad asked.
Tori softly smiled and shook her head.
"You're gay?"
Tori blushed. She forgot she hadn't told him yet.
He ran his fingers through his hair, sighed deeply, and walked out of the room.
Tori's mom smiled at her, "He just needs some time, honey. I'll go to talk to him."
Tori slowly nodded and sighed. She was so tired. All she wanted to do was talk to Jade.
She grabbed her Pearphone and checked her Slap page. It was filled with get well wishes from kids she'd never heard of and she saw the most recent one was from Jade:

Tori smiled and texted Jade's number:
Hey :)
Hey, Jade replied.
Tori smiled, What's up
Just sitting out in the waiting room. Waiting to see you again ;)
Tori's breath hitched in her chest, Oh yeah?
Hell yeah, Vega... so we are cool, right
Tori sighed and hovered her thumbs over the keypad for a moment. Why was she hesitating?

It was quiet for a moment but then Jade replied again:

Tori smiled and took a deep breath. She typed,

Her parents walked in and Tori set her phone back down on the table beside her. Her dad sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed. He reached for her hand and squeezed it.
"It's gonna take some time, but I love you. I always will love you," he took a deep breath, "no matter who you love."
