There was a knot in my stomach as I waited outside the Hokage's office. Minato had taken Kakashi and I here after our little dispute.
'I hope Minato-Sensei isn't mad at me. I mean, it was that jerk Kakashi's fault anyway! He's the one that started it!'
My thoughts were interupted when the office door opened and Minato came out with Kakashi. I looked up at my sensei with anticipation,
"Well? Am I in trouble Sensei?"
Minato looks back at me and says,
"No, I talked to Lord Third about what happened. We decided that it wasn't as much your fault. And that Kakashi will apologize immediately."
We both look at him, and I swear I have never seen someone more annoyed in all my life. I look at him expectantly, and he just stares at me before muttering,
"Sorry."
I wanted to hear him say it again,
"What? I didn't hear you."
He clenches his fists and raises his voice slightly,
"I said sorry."
Minato smiles at us,
"See? You two just got off on the wrong foot. Now, I want you two to spend some time together to get to know each other better."
The knot in my stomach grew tighter,
"Oh please Minato-Sensei, don't make us spend more time together than we have to."
Kakashi nods slightly in agreement,
"For once, I'm agreeing with her. I don't want to do that either."
Minato crosses his arms,
"I'm not giving you a choice. I'm telling you to do this. If you don't, you two will be running laps around the village until I say stop. And I just might forget to say that."
I groaned inwardly,
"Fine. But I'm only doing it because I don't want to do all that running."
