Just A Stomach Problem

"You should be well enough to leave in four days, but you'll be leaving on crutches. Your leg will take a few weeks to heal, so I'm going to give you something if it starts hurting again," my medical nin says as she looks over a chart in hand. Her name is Amaya, and she was one of the best medical nin here.

I wasn't really listening though, the only part I cared about was when I got to leave. I absolutely hated hospitals, I'm not sure why, it might just be the smell, or the whole sickness thing to it.

"There's one more thing I wanted to talk to you about, Keira. Hey, are you even listening?" Amaya questions, now noticing my spaced out expression.

"Huh? Oh, yeah," I reply while pulling myself from my thoughts.

Amaya was actually kind of young to be a medical nin, but she was good at what she does. She was shorter than me, by about four inches. Her hair was quite long as well, and a light shade of brown, it went just past her waist. Which matched her honey brown eyes and slightly rounded face. It gave her the complexion of a child, but she was serious all the time and she had a larger bust than most girls of her stature, so I guess that kind of made up for it. She also wore thin, black wire glasses. I don't know if she would think me weird, but she's actually the cutest little thing ever. Especially when she's serious, her face just makes me want to pinch her cheeks.

"Yes, well, before we could give you medication for your developing fever we had to do some tests on you," Amaya says with a huff,

"One of which included an ultrasound to check for a growing fetus."

At the words, 'growing fetus,' I felt a knot form in my stomach. There was no way that could be possible, right? I mean, wouldn't I have been able to tell if I had a freaking person growing inside of me?

"A-and? What was the result?" I question, and was dreading her response.

Amaya flips one of the pages on her clipboard and read over something for a moment,

"Well..."

I placed a hand over my stomach, I was scheduled to leave today, I was just waiting for Kakashi to finish signing me out. He was supposed to come help me use my crutches, which I was just horrible at using might I add.

I looked up as the door was slid open, and in stepped my silver haired partner, holding said crutches. He comes over to me and sets them up against the bed for a moment, he then holds out a hand to me while saying,

"Let's get going, I'm sure you're wanting to relax at home after being here for so long."

"Yeah," I mutter simply in response.

I was too busy thinking about what Amaya had told me about a few days prior.

Pregnancy.

I felt my head start to hurt just by thinking about it, but I shook those thoughts off as Kakashi helps me up. I stood on my good leg while he puts one of the crutches under my right arm. I rest my weight against it as he did the same, but for my left side.

He keeps a hand on my back as he urges me forward slowly. I still needed to get the hang of using these things, I don't know how he did it back at Tazuna's place. I shook my head, my right leg was starting to ache again. God, this thing hasn't stopped hurting since I got here.

It would normally be fine and already almost healed by now, but since Okuri cut off that part of our bond, it wasn't. So, now I'm suffering with this damn busted leg while he sits back and enjoys watching me struggle.

"Just take it easy, you don't have to rush," Kakashi says quietly,

"There's no need for you to be in a hurry. I mean, really. Where do you have to be off to so quickly, hmmm?"
