Don't Panic

I felt panic overcome my body as I looked at my tail, I haven't seen it in such a long time. Every time it was there, something bad happened.

No, nothing can go wrong this time. Minato's seal should still be strong, at least, I'm hoping it is.

I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in, and I rest my head in my hands,

"I just have to stay calm, everything will be fine. Just...just stay calm."

The last time I had my tail was back when I was much younger, and that was back before I met Minato and lived here in the village. Before Okuri got sealed up, he had made me kill people. Those memories are permanently burned into my mind, and will stay there for the rest of my life.

I raise my head and look at it again, the only way it would be able to come back is if...oh no.

Okuri was starting to weaken the seal.

"Kakashi, I need your help. It's kind of urgent," I say as I quicken my pace to catch up with him.

I left our apartment to go find him, even though he was already on his way back. He had just finished up today's training with the Genin.

"What's the matter?"

He questions as I fall in step next to him. I look around at the villagers, they all looked so happy and carefree,

"Well, uh...I think Okuri's starting to mess with the seal Mina-Sensei put on me."

His visible eye seemed to widen, but it was hardly noticeable. His pace quickened slightly, and he replies in a hushed tone,

"Let's go back home, I'll take a look at it there."

"Well, there is a change, but it's small. All that's really changed, is now you're receiving more of Okuri's chakra, which might explain the tail. But, overall, it's nothing too serious,"

Kakashi explains as he sits next to me on the bed. I let out a rather loud sigh of relief, I could live with the tail, I'm just glad it's nothing worse.

I fall back against the soft mattress and stare up at the ceiling,

"Thank goodness. I thought he might have been undoing the seal, I was starting to get scared."

Kakashi lays next to me, he leans over and kisses my cheek with masked lips. He then says,

"Don't worry so much, as long as I'm here, he won't be able to hurt you or any one else again. I promise."

I can't help but smile, I roll over so my arm and leg were draped over him,

"Thank you."
