Short steps, deep breath, everything is alright
Chin up, I can't step into the spotlight
You treaded slowly up the steps to the stage.
You were picked at random to perform a song while Ms. Betty got set up for her show.
The problem was, you were deathly afraid of crowds.
Mug sat at a table in the very front of the room, waiting to see you show your stuff.
She said, "I'm sad" – somehow without any words
I just stood there, searching for an answer
You hid behind the curtain and texted Mug.
[I can't do this, what if I screw up]
[You won't, just keep your eyes on me and forget that anyone else is watching]
Mug has heard you sing before and he's the only person you'll sing in front of.

The moon is all we'll see
I'll ask you to fly away with me
You stepped into view, your pretty silver dress flittered as you adjusted your gold scarf around your neck.
You focused all your attention on Mugs and slowly the words started flowing from your lips in a nervous manner.
Until the stars all fall down
They empty from the sky
But I don't mind
If you're with me, then everything's alright
Soon enough, you were lost in his loving gaze and the melody.
Your volume picked up and your hips swayed in time as the lyrics rolled off your tongue.
Why do my words always lose their meaning?
What I feel, what I say
There's such a rift between them
Why was it that you could sing anything to him and it would come out without a hitch, but you stuttered insistently just talking to him?
He said, "I can't really seem to read you"
I just stood there, never know what I should do
Mugs never fully understood you, but he loved you anyway.
You loved him too, but never knew how to properly say it.

The song had come to an end and you were startled by the roaring applause of the large audience.
You came to realize that you did it, you finally overcame your fear.
Happily, you skipped to the edge of the stage and jumped into Mugs' awaiting arms.
Until the stars all fall down
They empty from the sky
But I don't mind
If you're with me, then everything's alright
He twirled you around.
"You were amazing! I knew you could do it!"
"It was because of you that everything turned out alright!"
"I love you"
"I love you too Muggy" you said kissing his cheek.
