You're the sound of a song and I can't get you out of my head
You're the calm in the storm
You're voice saying come back to bed
Maybe I'm just too tired to keep running
Maybe you're what I never saw coming

After the landslide and the giant spider attack that separated the group, the sky broke into a nasty storm. The trench that Boris and Mug fell into, was slick with mud. Climbing out was no longer an option. They were dirty, bloody, bruised, and tired.

Mug was able to quickly bandage Boris up and get his arm into a makeshift sling. They both turned to you, noticing how you haven't moved since the fall, other than to dust yourself off.

Mug nearly yelled at you, until lightning cracked and caused you to shriek. Boris saw you curled into fetal position in the mud. Even through the heavy downpour, they both could see you were crying.

Am I in your head, half as often as your on my mind?
If I don't make sense, please forgive me I can't sleep at night
At least not alone, not anymore
Not since I found what I never went looking for, and
Now you're in my head
I must've lost my mind

Mug knelt down to help you up, but your legs refused to work. You haven't been out in a storm like this since your parents tossed you outside as a child. They threw you out because they didn't love you or want you anymore.Storms like this reminded you of those dark lonely times. Mug then lifted you bridal style, holding you close even though you were muddy.

You're the scars on my skin
You're the past I don't wanna erase
You're the words on my lips that have left
But I still seem to taste
Maybe I'm just too tired to keep lying
Maybe you're all I ever wanted

Boris quickly found shelter in a small cave. It was cold and dark, but it was dry. A small fire would take the chill out, and there was plenty of sticks and leaves to start it and keep it going for a while. The rain had pretty much rinsed the mud off your clothes.

Mug sat you down to help Boris start the fire. Thankfully, everyone had bought a waterproof camping bag, so everything was bone dry inside. While the boys setup the fire, you decided to strip out of your heavy wet clothes and pull on something warmer.

"Don't turn around for a few, I'm getting changed" You announced.

Respectively, they agreed and announced that they were changing as well.

Am I in your head, half as often as your on my mind?
If I don't make sense, please forgive me I can't sleep at night
At least not alone, not anymore
Not since I found what I never went looking for, and
Now you're in my head
I must've lost my mind

You all now sat in silence, eating flame heated rations. Clothes were laid out to dry. Mug watched as you picked at your food, eating very sparsely. He slid over to sit beside you. You shivered as you stared down at the by now cold soup. Mug pulled you close to him under his blanket, Boris came over to join you.

"Hey sweetheart, you might wanna eat up. You'll need all the energy you can get for our trek tomorrow" Mug said rubbing your shoulder.

You forced down the last bit before snuggling in a bit closer. Another loud clash of bright light sent you straight into his lap with your face in his chest.

There's an empty space beside me
And I'll keep it that way
Until you're here
I need you here
There was another face beside me
But I sent it away
Cause you're not here
Here

Mug pulled the blanket around, closing you in the shared warmth. He pet your head as he hushed you. Boris rubbed your back in circles.

Shhh, it's alright. You're alright. No one's gonna hurt you or leave you. Just relax, you're safe here with us" Mug said kissing the top of your head.

"Mug's right. The storm won't last forever. When morning comes, we'll be on our way to look for the others" Boris added.

Am I in your head, half as often as your on my mind?
If I don't make sense, please forgive me I can't sleep at night
At least not alone...

Your trembling ceased as you relaxed in Mug's arms. Before you knew it, you were fast asleep. With a sigh and a smile, the boys fell asleep with you, shielding you from the storm.
