Hey guys, I'm really sorry about the lack of updates these last 2 weeks. My life has been crazy. I am getting ready to say goodbye to high school and start the next chapter in my life which for me would be going into University. As a result, I have been getting everything ready which means I haven't been able to sit down and upload the chapters that need uploading.

I can assure you that I haven't given up on this book and in fact, I am currently writing the next one and hoping that over the summer break, I will be able to finish it in time for the release of the Death Cure which means I can get started on the last book in the Within Series. So don't worry, I haven't given up at all. I am just working at a slower pace.

I found out the other day that it has been over a year since I started uploading this book. I can't believe it. Where has time gone? So much has changed since I started writing this book. I'm thankful to all the people that have stuck around through this year and read the book. I know not all of you vote and comment, but I still know you are there and I thank you for taking the time to read the chapters when they are uploaded.

In terms of this week and the fact that I have missed two updates. I am going to upload both chapters for you so we are caught up to schedule and to say sorry for not being around. So this is the first update and I will upload the next one as soon as this one is up.

Hope you enjoy this chapter. This one is the longest one in the book. It was 9 pages on Microsoft Word. I had a lot of fun writing it and hope that you all will like it as much as I did writing it.

Have fun my Shanks

I ran outside and saw Gladers rushing around the place with torches in their hands along with Thomas talking to Winston, one of the slicers.

"Winston, what's going on?" He asked as I joined them.

"It's the Doors. They aren't closing," The boy replied before running off with the Gladers towards the Eastern Doors.

I felt my heart drop. The Doors weren't closing?

I shook my head, trying to dispel that thought from my mind and followed Thomas, Minho and my brother as they went to find out what the hell was going on.

I could feel several other people on my tail as I continued to run after everyone else.

No matter how much I didn't want to admit it. If the Door didn't close, we were in big trouble.

I came to a halt by Newt's side and looked into the Maze, praying the Doors would close.

I reached down and grabbed Newt's hand, hoping it would offer me some sort of comfort.

Newt squeezed my hand in return before pulling me closer to his side.

I wrapped my arms around his chest as everyone continued looking at the Doors.

An ear piercing scratching noise suddenly filled the air, causing everyone to grab their ears in pain, including me.

A loud rumbling suddenly came after. We all swung on our heels and saw the Western Door opening.

What the hell?

Why were they opening?

I started to panic as the other Doors around the Glade followed, opening just like the first.
