RE: Thoughts on the Maze Trials, Group A.
By any reckoning, I think we'd all agree that the Maze Trials were a success. 20 Survivors, all well qualified for our planned endeavour. The responses to the variables were satisfactory and encouraging. The boys' murder and the "Rescue" proved to be a variable finale. We needed to shock their systems, see their responses. Honestly, I am amazed that in the end, despite everything we were able to collect, such a large population of kids never gave up.
Oddly enough, seeing them this way, thinking all is well, has been the hardest thing for me to observe, but there's no time for regret. For the good of our people, we will move forward.
I know I have my own feelings as to who should be chosen as the leader, but I'll refrain from saying at this time so as not to influence any decisions, but to me, It's an obvious choice.
As for subject A6 'The glass' I request that she is to be separated from Group A and placed in the same faction as Group B shortly after arrival. She knows too much and may have the chance to speak of something that the other subject aren't to know of. I also see much potential in this subject and believe that she would better fit in Group B. She is just as valuable as all the other subjects and she is vital to the Trials.
We are all well aware of what's at stake. I for one, am encouraged. Remember what A6 remembers from her dream? The only thing she chose to clasp onto? WICKED is good.
The subjects will eventually recall and understand the purpose of the hard things we have done and plan to do to them.
The mission of WICKED is to serve and preserve humanity, no matter the cost. We are, indeed, 'good.'
Please respond with your own reactions. The subjects will be allowed 1 full night's sleep before stage 2 implementation. At this time, let's allow ourselves to feel hopeful.
Group B and Group C's Trials results were also most extraordinary. I need time to process the data, we can touch on it in the morning.
Until tomorrow, then.
THE END
*~*~*~*~*
Hi, guys,
So that's the end of 'The Maze Within.' To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would make it to the end of this book. Somehow, I have and I couldn't be any happier. This is the longest book I have every written and this one I have worked the hardest on. I feel as though all of the work had paid off and all those hours spent on weekends, figuring out how I want Elizabeth to tell Newt the truth had really been worth it.
Now for a few people I really want to recognise,
~ My friend and sister 'WolfCub0290' for nagging me and giving me the motivation to keep writing this book.
~ My friend and baby sister 'KnightoftheGlade' for being the person I can turn to if I ever need to talk to someone about this story.
~ Wattpad user 'Smollife_' for being one of the first people to add this book to their reading list. Thank you for that. It means so much.
~ My best friend 'Taylor191199', for always being there for me when times have been tough. I don't have the right words to thank you.
~ My best internet friend 'corneliacarter' for all the great chats and photos you have sent me over the last few months. Love you so much girl. I dedicate this chapter to you.
And of course, you guys for reading the story and continuing to read it right to the very end.
Don't get too upset though that this book is over, because I am currently working on the next book. It was be up on my channel the minute it is finished.
Until then.
See you soon my Gladers
Paige xx
