So... You want to be Popular? (FINISHED)

Self Advertising:

1)  If people continue to self-adveritze on my story, I'm not only going to block them. I'm going to delete their account because they are abusing the use of this site. If they advertise twice on my story, I'm going to block their IP address which will prevent them from accessing watt pad. com!  

2)  I've had twenty (yes, near twenty)  people leave me messages saying: Hey, I'll promote your story to my 900  and 1200 + fans if you read my story!  Have you  ever seen those ADS on google that say 'Hey, click this and you will receive ten million dollars!'   You might click on the ad, but you know it's unlikely that you are going to receive free money. You'll click on the app, and a lovely virus will be downloaded on your computer without your knowledge.  A week later, your computer will crash and you will lose all your files.  You could have avoided this disaster if you had only listened to your sub consciousness voice that told you, "Don't be an idiot. No one is going to willingly give away a million dollars, let alone 10x that amount!" 

Self- Promotional ads are the exact same as google ads. They both make false promises.  

Self- promotional ads sounds great in theory, but they are not really worth your time. I have hundred regular comments and  2500 fans! I posted a self-promotional ad of a few friend's stories, and only three of my fans bothered to check out the stories.  

In the end, people are going to read what they want to read.  Even if one of the writers on this site with 17 million views, promoted your story, it won't guarantee you instant fame! Their is  no magical way to gain a thousand fans. Like any struggling writer, you have to work for every vote and comment you recieve.  

Trying to find a easy route that doesn't exist will only hurt you more in the end!
